Loose Leaf Tea
Rustic and delicious, loose tea showcases the leaf in all its glory. Our carefully curated loose tea collection features top quality leaves and herbs that brew a full-bodied cup. A whole range of green, flavored, and organic loose teas are available to buy and brew.
Caffeine Content
Our bulk full-leaf teas have a wide range of caffeine levels, from decaf to high caffeine teas. Black teas, such as our Earl Grey Black Tea, tend to have the highest caffeine content, but still less than half the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee. Yerba maté is also considered a high caffeine tea, with roughly the same amount of caffeine as a cup of black tea. Oolong and green tea have less caffeine than black tea, and white tea is considered low in caffeine. Rooibos and herbal teas are naturally caffeine-free, and we also have a selection of decaffeinated teas.Health Benefits
All teas that are derived from the Camellia sinensis bush - including black, oolong, green, and white teas - are rich in antioxidants that contain powerful anti-inflammatory properties. The caffeine content in these teas can also provide an energy boost and promote mental clarity. Herbal teas have their own set of healing benefits depending on the herbs, fruits, flowers, spices, and other ingredients used. How to Steep
Steeping hot tea is easy! Simply follow the specific directions depending on the type of tea you’re preparing. Some general guidelines to keep in mind when steeping full leaf loose tea:- White Tea: steep for 2-3 minutes in near-boiling water
- Green Tea: steep for 2-4 minutes in near-boiling water
- Oolong Tea: steep for 5-7 minutes in boiling water
- Black Tea: steep for 3-5 minutes in boiling water
- Red Tea / Herbal Tea: steep for 5-7 minutes in boiling water
