My First Downton Reorder February 15, 2015

Tom

Visalia, CA

I purchased and enjoyed all of the Downton Abbey varieties, but this is the one that was worth a refill. I love it and had to get one more tin before they discontinue it. I find myself coming back to this one whenever I want a nice sweet cup of tea after dinner.

I'm a coffee drinker, but have a cold right now and decided to binge-watch DA 5. This tea is wonderful. I agree it would make a good dessert tea, but is delicious by itself!

I can really taste both the vanilla, and the caramel in this tea. It's sweet, but nicely balanced by the black tea in it. If you've ever had the Vanilla Almond tea and enjoyed it, you might really like this one too. I really wish TROT had a decaf version of this, so I could drink a cup before bedtime, as my dessert.

I am new to Republic of Tea, and honestly, I ordered this because I love Downton Abbey BUT this tea is truly delicious! I'm not a coffee drinker, so tea is how I start off my mornings (I don't need the caffeine) and this one is delish! I definitely recommend it.

I decided to start with just brewing in water and not add anything to it since I am following the Daniel Plan which avoids wheat, sugar and milk. I added sugar, then milk in later cups.Straight - greatSugar added - betterMilk added very goodEvaporated milk - tastyMilk and sugar added - PuddingFor my diet, I will usually enjoy it straight, but evaporated milk with it will be used when I take my allowed 10% cheat. GOOD STUFF!!

This is a delectable dessert tea with authentic vanilla and caramel notes. Make sure to add a splash of milk for the complete experience. This is one of my family's favorite teas from Republic, we very much hope it becomes permanent.

This is a very delicious tea. Love the caramel drizzle cake flavor. You do need to brew it for the time listed. It brings out the best flavor. Will definitely purchase this tea again.

Comfort Tea December 15, 2014

Sarah

Jacksonville, IL

I had high hopes for this tea, and while it is good, it is a bit more bland than I would have liked. I have to beef it up with a bit of milk and honey in order to fully reap the flavor benefits. The smell is fantastic though and really adds to the experience. It may not be at the top of my "order again" list but I may make a repeat order in the future.

This tea is so delicious! It has a lovely balanced black tea with delicious vanilla and caramel flavors that comes through nicely without being over powering or too sweet. It smells like a dream and doesn't have that chemical flavor that comes with some caramels and vanillas. I drink mine with milk and sugar and It's heaven. I really hope they just rename this tea and keep it in the permanent line up!!

I am a Downton fan, so bought the entire collection. This tea, with a splash of Almond Milk, is a wonderful way to end the day. Rich, caramel flavor is fabulous. A great addition to the Republic of Teas collection.

This tea is not a standout-just a simple vanilla taste when you don't want anything overpowering. Reminds me of eating a shortbread cookie. Comforting, but not too much flavor. Haven't tried with milk yet, maybe would help.

I’ve never watched Downton Abbey but the description of this tea just called to me. When I read the ingredients I realized it’s very similar to Republic of Tea’s Caramel Vanilla Cuppa Cake tea. To compare the two I actually drank a cup of each within a short period of time. I used two tea bags in a large (14oz) mug, added boiling water, a touch of sweetener and splash of half & half. It was scrumptious The tea tastes like a rich, decadent vanilla cake. The caramel flavoring is a sweet drizzle that works its way through my tastebuds. It’s scrumdiliumptious. It is very similar to the Caramel Vanilla Cuppa Cake tea but there are subtle differences. This cake is a bit less sweet and slightly richer in flavor. If you’re a fan of vanilla caramel flavored teas, this would be an excellent addition to your cupboard.

This and the Downton Estate blend are definitely my favorite out of the selections they've released. I thought this one might be too sweet, but it's just right. A hint of caramel, and a wonderful vanilla aroma--the name "pudding" makes you think it's going to be heavy, but it's wonderfully light. It's my go-to as soon as I get into work. I gave a sample to my boss who is also a Downton fan, and she enjoyed it as well!
