Leaf or Bag?

All varieties of Certified Organic teas and herbs from The Republic of Tea are offered in both full-leaf and natural, unbleached tea bags.

Full Leaf - Each tin of full-leaf tea features the top two leaves and a bud, which represent the most sought-after portion of the Camellia (tea plant). The whole herbs and spices used in these herbal blends retain a high level of essential oils to enhance your tea drinking experience. Each tin of full-leaf tea brews 50 cups.

Tea Bag - Each tin contains The Republic of Tea's environmentally-friendly, natural unbleached tea bags, free of wasteful strings, staples and tags. Green and black tea varieties contain 50 tea bags while herbal varieties contain 36 tea bags.

36 Healthful Herbal Tea Bags - Herbal blends have 36 tea bags per tin because only the highest quality Certified Organic herbs and spices are used. Ingredients like ginger root, orange peel, hibiscus and licorice root are quite weighty and bulky in comparison to tea leaves. Because of the increased weight and bulk of these fine herbs, fruits and botanicals, fewer tea bags fit in each tin. But, with blends of this quality, you'll never miss them.

	Ceylon Breakfast Certified Organic Ceylon Black Orange Pekoe Tea. These hand-harvested leaves come to us from the highest mountain elevations on the tropical island of Sri Lanka, which lies just off the southern tip of India.
