This was the very first Republic of Tea product I bought when it was first introduced - samples offered at The Whole Wheatery in Lancaster, CA in 1992. I have been purchasing Blackberry Sage ever since and I buy the bulk, 1 pound because I use so much. I not only drink it, both hot and iced, I use it in cooking with great success. Rice, particularly the more exotic varieties, such as "Forbidden rice" and "Mahogany rice" cooked in brewed Blackberry Sage tea, take on a flavor that is exceptional.

The Blackberry Sage loose leaf tea is one of the very first teas I drank from Republic of Tea back in the 1080's. I would buy this tea and bulk Mango Ceylon a this cute little health food store in Mendocino. It was a few years after that I discovered the tea bags. I use both loose leaf and bags now. However with my favorite flavors I prefer to buy in loose leaf because I love the whole berries and cut fruits and herbs that you have in the loose leaf. The Blackberry Sage is a family favorite that I am not allowed to run out of.

Discovered this tea 17 years ago when a friend left behind a canister of tea bags after a visit. The fragrance is so appealing, it is my favorite but I only use the loose leaves, I don't think the tea bags have as much flavor which may have more to do with the tea bag portion vs the large mug I use. I also really like Ginger peach iced, Earl Grey and British breakfast.

When a friend asked me to try this tea, I was not eager. Sage in tea didn't excite me. Was I wrong!!! The hint of sage is so pleasant when you realize it's there. The tea is so good hot, but iced is my favorite way to drink it. I sip on it all day. When I ask someone to try it, I can see the same hesitation that I had. Fortunately almost everyone that has tried it, has asked for more.

After i discovered this tea a few years ago it has been a constant in my house. A bulk bag of loose tea always has a place in my pantry, but i still buy the bags to have with me when i travel. I add a few crumbles of fresh sage when i have it, but it really doesn't need it. The flavors of blackberry and sage resonate so strongly with me, that i now use them in my cooking. One of my two favorite teas!

This was the first RoT tea I had, and still remains one of my favorites. The aromas are heavenly, and the taste matches. This tea is naturally sweet, but not overpoweringly so. The sage is very refreshing, and blends perfectly with the blackberry. The black tea used in this blend has a lighter taste, and matches the flavors perfectly. It's a perfect pick-me-up for any time of the day.

I absolutely love this tea! I opted for the full leaf variety and the flavor is fantastic. I've had the bagged variety at a tea shop, and I feel the flavor is better with the loose tea. If you like fruity teas, this is a perfect blend. The sage is very subtle, but complimentary. I love it in the morning for a nice caffeine kick. I know it would be fantastic iced as well!

Ordered this with my refill of Black Currant Cardamom Green Rooibos loose leaf tea, and it's become a new favorite. The blackberry is really strong. In fact, smelling the tea, you'd think it was just blackberries. In fact, tastewise, there's only a hint of the refreshing earthy sage. I might try adding some extra sage to it or experimenting with brewing times, but as is, it's a wonderful blackberry black tea.

This tea is currently my favorite flavored black tea. Excellent balance of flavors, smooth and rich, and excellent fruit flavor. The black tea seems to be of high quality. Also, and this is particularly important to me, this tea has low tannins.
