A "Black Tea Nectar," I Love It! | May 11, 2013 |

This is my first review here so I apologize for being all over the place. I decided to add this "rare" Tea as part of my very first order here. I can Honestly say I have had pretty much every Tea, even Competition Grades including the 2012 #1 Award Winning Matcha in all of Japan, so I am super loyal to my Tea Merchants. Well, recently I was really craving some fine Black Teas even though I usually stick strictly to Japanese Greens after years of trial and error enjoying and learning along my "Tea Journey" as well as my severe caffiene sensitivity. I'm so glad I chose this light, golden, glowing amber elixer! It's quite light and not just in color, it is definitely a "Summer" sort of Tea. Super easy to sip, it is really just plain LOVELY. Even when it cools it is perfect, the notes blend lightly and sweetly. I'm not going to attempt to describe the notes but it is not smoky at all and never bitter or "off/weird" like some Chinese Greens/Oolongs/Black Teas can seem to "turn." I perhaps brew it strong? |
