Green Tea with Toasted Rice - A robust cup with the fresh flavor of grain. Fire-toasted rice and large green Sencha tea leaves are blended to produce this smooth, toasty brew. Finest grade produced.
Green tea contains less than a quarter the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee. More about caffeine.
Steeping green tea is easy. Simply heat fresh, filtered water just short of boiling. Then pour water over tea and steep for 1-3 minutes (if using a tea bag) or 2-4 minutes (if using full-leaf tea.)
Finest Japanese green tea leaves and toasted rice

What our Citizens are saying about this great gift of the leaf...
Tea smelled fine when I opened the tin. After brewing, however, the smell was really bad! The taste wasn't quite as bad. I suppose the smell came from the toasted rice? I took a few more sips to see if it would grow on my, but it didn't. Threw out that cup of tea and then the tea itself. Will not purchase again. Wasted $5.00.
Delicious Earthy Tea
This is a delicious and almost filling tea. Very earthy and toasty. It reminds me a bit of the tea blends used in Japanese restaurants. One of my new favorites.
Tea of Inquiry loose tea
Excellent. Excellent My favorite.
I just purchased this tea for the first time. This tea almost has a hint of a popcorn taste to it because of the rice. The green tea is a little on the bitter side but adding a little honey brightens it up. Overall it's a lighter tea and very good to sip on during a cold day.
My only green tea
I'm a die-hard black tea drinker, and normally don't give much thought to green tea. Even very expensive green tea tastes odd and grassy to me. (I know, it's supposed to - just not my thing.) But this is a notable exception. I've ordered this several times over the years. It's sweet and nutty, needs nothing added to it, good to the last drop.
