2021 First Flush Darjeeling Black Full-Leaf Loose Tea

Lovers of the leaf, rejoice! The dormancy period is over and the Darjeeling hillsides are radiant with young, fragrant leaves. This year’s outstanding tea was carefully selected from Tindharia Estate. This organic tea estate is located in the Kurseong subdivision of the Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. Our First Flush Darjeeling was hand-plucked on March 15, 2021, and we have air freighted it to ensure the freshest cup possible for our Citizens. Regarded as the ultimate tea experience, only limited quantities are available. Enjoy this ultimate tea experience, sip by sip.

A Cup of Sunshine

Decorated with downy silver tips, this enthralling selection has a glistening amber-gold cup that is very lively and aromatic. The first sip is captivating with hints of fresh sweet corn and a buttery smooth finish. Notes of tropical fruit sweetness highlight the floral hints.

Caffeine

This first flush Darjeeling tea has less than half the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee. More about caffeine.

Steeping Instructions

Fill your kettle with fresh, filtered water and heat to just short of boiling (175° F). Warm your teapot by swirling steamy water in it and then pour it out. Place one teaspoon of tea leaves per 6 oz of water into your pot or infusing basket. Pour the heated water over the tea leaves and infuse for 2-3 minutes. Serve the tea. Avoid letting the leaves stew. Enjoy sip by sip. Add the used tea leaves to your garden. They make a healthy fertilizer for plants.
