A Cup of Sunshine

Decorated with downy silver tips, this enthralling selection has a glistening amber-gold cup that is very lively and aromatic. The first sip is captivating with hints of fresh sweet corn and a buttery smooth finish. Notes of tropical fruit sweetness highlight the floral hints.

Tin artwork created by artist and Minister of Citizen Satisfaction, Heather Stanley. She was inspired by the misty fog and majestic sunsets over the picturesque tea gardens on The Republic of Tea’s trip to origin.

This is the nineteenth in the Darjeeling Art Collectors’ Series.

Plucking Date: March 15, 2021.

This first flush Darjeeling tea has less than half the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee. More about caffeine.

Steeping Instructions

Fill your kettle with fresh, filtered water and heat to just short of boiling (175° F). Warm your teapot by swirling steamy water in it and then pour it out. Place one teaspoon of tea leaves per 6 oz of water into your pot or infusing basket. Pour the heated water over the tea leaves and infuse for 2-3 minutes. Serve the tea. Avoid letting the leaves stew. Enjoy sip by sip. Add the used tea leaves to your garden. They make a healthy fertilizer for plants.
