I've tried probably thousands of different teas, and none of them come close to the robust, full flavor of this tea. The extra bergamot is a nice contrast to the Earl Grey. It smells fantastic when it steeps and tastes even better. I drink it daily, and though my preferred method is over ice, I love it just as much when it's hot. It's a tea that I drink so much that it ends up on nearly every order I place here. I recommend this tea to every single person I know who enjoys tea even a little bit, especially because no company has yet come close to Republic of Tea for the full flavors they produce. I hope they never change this blend or stop making it. Nothing will ever compare to this tea for me. I have to steep other tea blends for hours to achieve even a fraction of the flavor of this tea. I love it.

I asked my loved ones to stop trying to force me to like something that I most certainly did not. One day in 2009, I received a catalog from The Republic of Tea. Intrigued, I sat down to browse through it. There was a sample of Earl Greyer Tea. I smelled it before placing it into a teacup. This Earl Greyer tea smelled delicious; I couldn't wait to give this one a try. After I poured boiling water onto the teabag, I began to smell something that was unlike every Earl Grey tea I'd ever tried. After adding my usual sugar and milk, I took my first sip. It was almost magical!!! I did some research into the brands that the grocery stores sold. Each one said artificial bergamot flavor added. TROT's Earl Greyer used real oil from bergamots. I ordered my first two teas, Comfort and Joy, and Earl Greyer. I still enjoy Earl Greyer from TROT. I have about 40 different teas from your lovely company! I make sure to indulge in Earl Greyer Tea often. I have never looked back at my loved ones' teas. It's funny: they believe that the prices of all the teas you offer are ridiculous; yet, when I offer to give them a sampling of the full-leaf, loose tea known to me as Earl Greyer, they refuse. I think that they are afraid that they'll understand why TROT's teas cost more: Because you use real teas from around the world, and real oils and other ingredients that no cheap tea could possibly compete with! I have never gone back to grocery store teas again. I am disabled. My only income is from SSDI. I do whatever I can to be able to buy your teas; it's the one thing that I will not compromise. One more quality that your company offers free of charge is education about each of your teas. I have learned so much about the various varieties of tea that, prior to receiving that first catalog, I'd never heard of. Customer service is also top-notch.

I tried Republic of Tea's Earl Greyer at a local coffee shop and was instantly hooked. I need to add honey and lemon with other brands to improve the taste, but not with this. (I do sometimes still add a little honey if I'm eating something sweet along with the tea, but it's not necessary).

My perfect cup is a mix of half Darjeeling and half Earl Grayer, loose tea leaves (of course) brewed in a proper pot, so that one may enjoy the aroma, and contemplate the blend in each sip. Since then, I have tried Earl Grey from at least a dozen vendors, but Earl Greyer remains my favorite. The tea is an excellent variety, not overwhelming, and the bergamot is not oily or bitter, as with some Earl Greys. The tea has a pleasant citrus after-taste. Delicious with milk.
