Very satisfying, subtly flavored, full bodied true tea. Large reason I return to it is that it is not sweetened in any way, and does not need milk, lemon or other to enhance it; naturally easy on the stomach and complete on the tastebuds just as it is.

I am sad to say, however, that the taste did not live up to the aroma… The blackberry and sage were overpowered by the black tea until I got to the bottom of my mug… then I had a hint of the blackberry. I would love to see this as a green or herbal tea blend to complement the other flavors not completely cover them up. I will drink the rest of my tin but probably not buy another.

I didn't expect to like it but it turned out I love it, I think I got a sample in the early 2000s lol. Anyway if you add heavy cream and ice it's like drinking berries and cream. If you just add milk hot, it's still extremely good.

Perfectly decent for a small sized up, but boring for a large mug worth. Vanilla honey brings out a nice brightness to the taste. It's fabulous as a tea latte made with sweet strawberry milk! Overall I wasn't as impressed with this tea as I remembered being, but have previously only tried the bagged variety.

First, I was surprised when I opened the can to see a whole blackberry sitting on top. I wasn't expecting the see large pieces of actual fruit. The pieces of fruit add so much flavor to the tea. The next thing i noticed was the aroma before I even brewed my first cup. The strong blackberry scent draws you in and you can't help but to put the water on to boil and having a cup. Finally, the taste. Wow! The fruity sweetness cuts the tannin of the black tea and delivers a perfectly balanced cup of tea.

However once steeped with sugar the real magic begins when you let it cool and put it in the fridge. Then it becomes incredible. Currently my favorite iced tea. The smell is amazing also.

I have been purchasing Blackberry Sage ever since and I buy the bulk, 1 pound because I use so much. I not only drink it, both hot and iced, I use it in cooking with great success. Rice, particularly the more exotic varieties, such as "Forbidden rice" and "Mahogany rice" cooked in brewed Blackberry Sage tea, take on a flavor that is exceptional.

I would buy this tea and bulk Mango Ceylon a this cute little health food store in Mendocino. It was a few years after that I discovered the tea bags. I use both loose leaf and bags now. However with my favorite flavors I prefer to buy in loose leaf because I love the whole berries and cut fruits and herbs that you have in the loose leaf. The Blackberry Sage is a family favorite that I am not allowed to run out of.

The fragrance is so appealing, it is my favorite but I only use the loose leaves, I don't think the tea bags have as much flavor which may have more to do with the tea bag portion vs the large mug I use. I also really like Ginger peach iced, Earl Grey and British breakfast.
