Smooth, rich flavor. First purchased small tin, enjoy it so much that I bought bulk bag.
My second bulk bag, amazing as always! Better than the tea bags, though those are also amazing. I’ve never found a decaffeinated tea that’s any good, and ESPECIALLY one that’s decaffeinated using CO2 instead of chemically decaffeinated. Makes a difference with my migraine triggers. Thank you!
I’ve gone through a tin and a bulk refill bag now, and I have to say my ONLY complaint is that it’s ruined all other tea for me. Miles above any other decaf black tea, better than the bagged version of the same tea from them (which is still incredible), and it’s incomparable to regular black teas. (I’d love decaf versions of the Irish breakfast and other plain black teas, but this is just amazing.)
British Breakfast is one of my favorite tasting black teas. I am glad to have a decaf version that is just as good.
Finding really good decaf loose tea is hard. This tea fills the bill. Love it!
I was hoping to finally have found a decaf tea that's worth sipping but sadly, this is another huge disappointment in the world of non-caffeinated teas. It is totally lackluster, the cup has literally neither scent nor taste, and you need two heaping teaspoons to make it resemble tea in a vague way. A hard pass for me.
One of my favorite breakfast teas. It's bold without being bitter.
The best black decaf tea that I have ever sipped@
We really enjoy the bold flavor and quality of the tea.
It is so hard to find a good decaf English Breakfast tea, but this is the best I have found. Brew it strong and you won't know that is is decaf.
Perfect flavor profile I wanted to drink multiple cups
Excellent quality!
I love British Breakfast Black Tea. It has such a strong, full tea flavor. I do like other black teas, but British Breakfast is my favorite. I drink it any time of day.
Perfect for before bed but when you still want a lovely black tea.
I purchased this tea because I decided to cut all caffeine. I am an Earl Gray fanatic (assam, loose leaf, with strong bergamot). English Breakfast never appealed to me, however, I haven't yet been able to find the decaf Earl Gray Im searching for so I bought this tea as a temporary fix. I appreciate the CO2 decaf process and the combination of tea leaves from Assam, Ceylon, and Africa. I’m no expert but it seems less bitter than I recall. I wouldn’t buy it again if I find my decaf, loose leaf Earl Gray, but until then I’ll add a couple drops of bergamot oil and implore Republic of Tea to offer a loose leaf decaf Earl Gray??If you’re an English Breakfast lover, the quality of this tea is excellent so I would think you’d enjoy this tea.
As a tea addict, sometimes you just need black tea at night to go with something sweet. This tea hits the spot sans caffeine. It's perfect by itself or a little bit of milk.
Flavor is comparable to the caffeine version, but a little less bitter than I prefer.
I love this tea and I usually buy it in bags. I wanted to try loose leaf tea. It tastes great but I always notice with the loose leaf tea a little residue in the bottom of my cup, even with a fine mesh strainer. Other that that, I have no complaints.
This tea is rich and dark but not bitter. Delicious with cream and sugar or just a squeeze of lemon.
I will confess, I drink coffee in the mornings, and then green tea, then herbal; but I LOVE black tea, I don't seem to find enough hours in the day to drink it without a caffeine dose. This tea is PERFECT to have a decaf treat of black tea. I am always suspicious of decaf teas, but this blend is 5 stars. It tastes like the best selection of black teas without the high caf. I drink one in the evenings with a splash of soy milk: heaven!
I love this decaf tea...but I recently received a loose leaf tea that was clearly flavored. My daughter noticed as well. I am hoping for a refund and reshipment of this lovely tea. I will update my rating as soon as this issue is resolved.
I had to switch to decaf due to medical issues. I would love a decaf Darjeeling. Decaf British Breakfast is very good. Please sell it in a 2 lb bag.
This is my daily Go-To. I have a cup about every night, and the low caffeine won't keep me up at night.
Its hard to find decaf black tea, but this is a good one
I only drink decaf tea or herbal teas in the evening, just don't want the caffeine. While I drink just about every type of tea you make, my husband prefers simple black tea, so this is a wonderful choice for his evening tea. I ordered quite a bit of it and will definitely order more. A plus!
I am a decaf tea drinker. My search to find a bold, well bodies decaf black tea has been answered. I love this tea! Does not taste flat, old, or musty. I buy loose leaf bulk for the freshest taste. I drink at least 2 cups every day. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
I blend this with the full caffeine version for a great low caffeine brew.
I've gone to 100% decafe, which you offer! Thanks!
I'm glad to have a black tea option for afternoons, and will drink this for its soothing qualities, but it has no body or real flavor. Then again, my preferred black tea is Yorkshire Tea which is black as night and very strong. A bland alternative.
Can't live without your teas. Happy New Year♥ï¸
I bought this after the doctor said no more caffeine. I've tried decaf teas before and hated them. This is very good. I was quite surprised when I had my first cup. I recommend the three minute brew time.
Needed to switch to a decaf tea, so I tried well over 2 dozen of the decaffeinated, loose-leaf, traditional blends of black tea I could find. This is by far the best. Full-bodied, robust, rich and goes well with milk.
Nice aroma unsteeped but like all other black tea unflavored decafs I've tried, once steeped it is bland.
Smooth, non bitter, but like all other unflavored decaf teas, lacking in taste when brewed despite the unbrewewd leaves having a nice aroma.
I was raised on Cold Tea (no ice please) and after experimenteaing over the years settled on Republic of Tea British Breakfast decaf as my favorite Sweet Tea. What I really like is the combination of strong smooth flavor and dust free leaves that actually look like leaves instead of crushed chili sprinklings. After ordering my customary English Pound I had a Tea Epiphany. So just for fun I ordered a nice looking 3.5 ounce Irish Breakfast refill and mixed the two teageather which produced an fanteastic result. Bon Appétea!
It's hard to find good decaf tea and coffee. This one is quite good although not quite meeting the level of a good caffeinated brew. I don't know enough about tea to describe it's "notes", but if I have to drink decaf, I'll be happy to consume this one.
This is the BEST tea decaf or not. You can brew twice and still have a wonderful cuppa
I had been searching for a great decaf loose leaf tea. This is very smooth and delicious with a bit of half and half. I love it!
I'm a fanatic black-tea lover, but I can't deal with caffeine at night anymore. So, based on the readings here I decided I had to give this tea a try, having previously been underwhelmed by other attempts. This is a great, full-bodied tea that loves to be steeped for a good long time without being the least bit bitter. And, it stands up beautifully to a splash of half-and-half, a requisite feature for this tea snob....it turns a lovely caramel color with lots of flavor!
Tasty, fine tea! You will love it..usually decaf tea does not have a full flavor. This one does.
Sometimes I need to have a decaf tea. You understand the need for decaf or you would not be reading this. This works for me. I use a bit of extra tea to make it stronger. I don't use milk or sugar. This is the best decaf black tea that, I've found, so for.
This is my go-to tea! It is the smoothest, most lovely black tea on the market-- and the fact that I can have black tea without the caffeine is a life saver. If you like it strong, just add more tea to your pot. I buy it in bulk. Nothing bitter about this tea. It is the best!I hope they never change it.
I am a lover of the strong black loose leaf teas. I make my tea very dark because I love the taste. However, I try to cut back on my caffeine. For this reason I "half-caff" my morning tea so I can drink a couple of cups. A loose leaf decaf is a necessity. Unfortunately, decaf, black, loose leaf tea is tough to find. I'm GRATEFUL for this product. This is the only place I know to purchase it. Besides, the delivery is quick and efficient!
As decaffeinated teas go, this one is pretty good. Unfortunately, the decaffeinated teas just never taste as good as the caffeinated ones. To me it just lacks briskness and body. Still, if you must limit your caffeine, this option is tastier than many I've tried.
I always have a picher of ice tea on hand, but as you know the only way for good ice tea is to brew it first. This is the first time I have tried de-calf and no one knows ,except me, it doesn't keep me up at night
