The brand is big in France and Belgium, but cannot be found in the US. We brought tea home, I was running out, and I wanted to find an alternative as the brand didn't ship to the US. This is the perfect alternative. It's just the right amount of vanilla and of almond. I've knocked it down only by half a pot because it does taste sliiiightly too sweet (or too...extract-y?), but that's easily rectified by not adding in sugar!

Recently, when I started making homemade London Fogs, I decided to try making one with this tea. I am probably going to have to start caring the decaf version of this tea in my cupboard as well as the caffeinated version because it's that good. I do add lavender into my London Fogs, and when you combine almond vanilla with lavender, it's an amazing combination. Even before I tried this tea in a London fog form, it was a favorite. I highly recommend it.

Nothing can compare to the way they do vanilla in teas. It layers typical black tea by adding brightness; a small bit of honey and a little milk, and this is the way to spend the afternoon. This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars I have been reordering this tea for years, and there are 2 reasons for that. First, the vanilla gives you a calm comfort. Kinda like a hug. The almond gives this tea a burst of flavor that is reminiscent of cherries. If you sweeten it it tastes a little like a cherry creamsicle. And second, you can throw one of these tea bags in with lots of other flavors to add a vanilla/cherry kick! I really like to add it to the Republic Chai to get like a vanilla chai, and to Spring Cherry to boost the cherry flavor. This is one i always have on hand.

It is not as robust as I remember, definitely more subtle. That fact doesn't change my mind about the quality, taste or my love of it, just an observation. This tea is a really light dark black tea, with hints of vanilla and almond. It reminds me of a butter cookie or other holiday cookie with a sweet taste. I have found that this tea is just as delicious plain or with a splash of milk and it is perfect for after dinner, dessert or just when you are craving a sweet treat but don't want to eat anything.

I couldn't put my finger on what was rubbing me the wrong way when tasting the tea but it finally hit me this morning. For me, this tastes like I'm drinking oatmeal water. There's something about the ratio of vanilla to almond and they are creating a muddied down flavor that doesn't taste much like anything, yet has a sweet undertone to it. It's not bad enough to avoid, I have every intention of finishing this tin of tea, and it isn't the worst flavor ever, but wouldn't buy again.

UNTIL NOW!!!! This Vanilla Almond is enjoyable in the evening. I make it with raw, organic honey. What a treat. I must admit, I would not have even ordered any products from the Republic of Tea if not for one of my nephews. He and his wife gave me a sample box as a hostess gift for a large family gathering. It was at that point that I fell in love. I also just ordered the Ginger Peach, which is also now on my list of favorites. The Blackberry Sage is good, too. I recommend you try them. This will certainly be reordered again and it is now one of my top black teas.

Something drew me to the vanilla almond tea so I ordered a tin. It is so good you don't even need honey. You can even put it in a cup with another tea, such as the British breakfast blend, with the dairy product of your choice, I add a little cinnamon, and it is very very good. I highly recommend it.

I purchased it because I like both vanilla and almond flavors so I thought lets give this a try. I must admit this was my greatest purchase blunder ever! I am in love with the flavors of this tea. Being that I'm not a black tea drinker I followed the suggestion on the contained and I added warm milk. I also added ground cinnamon and some no calorie sweetener, whisked it and poured into my cup of tea. This almost tasted like an almond biscotti, it's absolutely delicious!

I put sugar and milk into it. I did try it unsweetened but,living in the south, I had to put sugar in it. It tasted good unsweetened but I raised with SWEET tea. However, this has quickly become my new favorite to drink at all times of the day. It starts off with a bit of mild sweetness from the vanilla and finishes off with the warm nuttiness of the almond. Perfect with a splash of milk, no sugar necessary. It is quite difficult for me to drink just one cup of this! I love it!

The almond flavor really comes through. I don't take my tea with either cream or sugar anyway, but this tea is excellent just the way it is, even for folks who normally take sugar & cream. :-)

It's addictive. Even though it's not a decaf, it's very relaxing at bedtime. And it's like sipping an orchid. Just lovely.

I would also like to recommend the organic turmeric ginger green tea. I bought it without trying it because it has so many ingredients featured on Dr. Oz. Ever. Aside from Earl Grey, which I've been drinking for years. Honestly, I think it smells a little like Play-Doh, but for some reason I don't find that to be a bad thing. And the hint of almond after drinking it is delightful.
