Blackberry Sage is my favorite in that rotation because it is full of subtle flavor that stands up well with ice. But, truly, I love all of the Republic of Teas in my rotation. I have another cabinet filled with Republic of Tea that I prefer as hot tea. For black iced tea, make a intense pot with 3-4 bags and 10 ounces hot water, then after 5 minutes add cold water to make enough tea, or keep it strong and water it down with ice.

I had found it while I was on vacation as I was driving from Michigan to Pennsylvania. Pairs well with a tea treat (biscuit for the UKers, cookie for the Americans, other words that I don't know for the rest of the world!) The tea is ok hot, but its fruitiness does better iced. I think it would stand a little stronger with a bigger black tea flavor but overall pleasant.

However, once I brewed a cup of this one, I felt that the rich blackberry flavor was quite well balanced with the tea and sage, and contributed very little tartness. No single note overpowers the others. I decided to try it hot after all. With a splash of half-and-half and no sugar, it is a comforting, smooth, and mildly sweet cup, with an aroma of berry jam and cream.

It has a lightly sweet berry flavor with a hint of sage. I like this pairing, but I could see someone not liking it if 1) they wanted a very strong blackberry flavor, or 2) they thought the sage was weird/too green with a sweet tea. Because I'm a bit married to my flavored green teas (Honey Ginseng, Ginger Peach, Black Raspberry) for breakfast, I've switched to stocking the decaf version of this tea so I can enjoy it in the afternoon and evening.

Both blackberry and sage flavors come through tastefully, without any artificial fruit flavoring. As iced tea is my "go to" beverage for hydration, I consume close to a pitcher full daily in warm weather. I love the fact that the tea bags are available in bulk, and compostable. The iced tea pitcher, with included mesh infuser, is perfect for easily making up a batch of refreshing iced tea. I put in 10 to 12 tea bags, pour some lightly boiled water over them to fill the pitcher about halfway full. Place the cover on lightly, (don't screw it down or it will create a vacuum and dent the plastic), swish slightly and let it steep for about a half hour. The add cool water to fill the pitcher. Delicious, economical and no sugar needed to enhance the flavor.

However, something compelled me to give this a try (fondness for blackberries maybe). I was pleasantly surprised by the very subtle blackberry flavor. No overpowering perfume or fruity flavor, just a very pleasant sweetness complimenting the black tea. I was happy to discover how well it tasted with the addition of cashew milk (I like to have a creamy texture with black or oolong teas). Overall, a good experience and I'm sure I'll order it again!

The earthiness and sweetness of the blackberry perfectly matches the sage. Ever since I first sipped this tea some 30 years ago (you can picture me as an infant though of course that's not true!) at the NECI in Montpeculiar VT, I've been captivated. Imagine, a flavorsome tea that wasn't Constant Comment or some sneezable 'herbal blend!" And then virtually all the teas I have had were equally delicious —I admit to a delight in Coconut Cocoa and Double Milk Oolong that is just shy of obsessive. I have been mixing it 50/50 with straight black tea and drinking it for iced tea. Not bad that way, and I won't waste the tea. I LOVE the Ginger and Peach tea. That's may favorite, but I'm curious to sample so many other teas. That makes it hard to risk getting one that I'm not especially fond of. But if the Ginger Peach and Raspberry Hibiscus are both so extraordinary, there must be more that I will like.

I figured I would add it to my daughters fruity tea stash as I don't typically like fruity teas. I honestly find most fruity teas to be so gross. I favor almost any other tea! The blend of blackberry and sage is delicious, and does not overwhelm the rich black tea. I use 4-5 tea bags in 2 quarts of cold water to make sun tea, and leave the bags in overnight to ensure a fully developed flavor.

I have never liked ANY tea other than my Lipton sweet iced, UNTIL I tried this Blackberry Sage tea at a spa I went to. I thought the spa was selling it, so when I found out I couldn't buy any to take home, I begged them to give me a few tea bags, got home researched the brand and found it here! I usually stuck to my three favorites until one day the barista suggested that I try this one because it was super popular and was always selling out. When they placed their order they had to order double of the blackberry sage because it was their #1 tea. I was skeptical because of the mixture of sage with fruit notes but tried it anyways. It's one of my absolute favorites now and I have to keep it stocked in my cabinet at all times. It's mild and fruity and has a mic hint of sweetness. It's even better iced.

You don't taste the sage, or the blackberry as separate flavors, you taste the result of the two, which is delicious. We are so hooked in this house, that during the summer months, we easily go through roughly 400 tea bags, which is why I buy the 250 bag refill size. Expensive? A little, but better for you and still cheaper than soft drinks. I have introduced many guests to this blend and have never had one turn it down. Try it.

From the moment you take out the tea bag & it's fruity fragrance hit your nose your senses are exceedingly pleased. I prefer this tea without sweetener or sugar it truly stands on its own. I always enjoy trying Republic of Teas new flavor but I always come back to this tea. I recommend this tea often & I've never had anyone say the didn't completely enjoy it.

I drink the Blackberry Sage during the day and the Blackberry Sage Decaf in the evening hours. I have tried your other flavors but still go back to the Blackberry Sage! It is the great!!

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars I must confess~I combine the blackberry sage w vanilla almond, so I can't comment on blackberry sage as an individual taste, but together....delicious! (further confession~ I had this combo at Olga's Cup & Saucer in Providence a couple of times and decided I needed this treat at home!) Flavors last a long time. I tend to add hot water to my bags several times and the flavor is still there a few of cups in.

I took several tea bags with me on the trip and thoroughly enjoyed both the adventure and the tea. Blackberry sage goes with me everywhere -- Europe, Canada, Mexico, Cleveland :) -- and I look forward to my breakfast pot every day.

I'm a letter carrier and it made my day! I make a big jug of sun tea all summer long and it just makes me smile inside when I sip it. I haven't tried it hot but I will!

The blackberry brings in a touch of sweetness and the sage cuts it to tolerable leading to a great tea for anytime of day. I was worried the sage would be overpowering but it is perfect in keeping the sweetness of the berry in check. I would recommend this tea for anyone as it is mild and not necessarily herbal or sweet in nature and a perfect blend of both. Enjoy, I certainly do and this will now be a staple at my house!

I especially like it cold, I brew it at regular strength and leave it to chill in the fridge for a much healthier alternative to soda. I don't really care for sage in savory dishes so it really suprised me that I like it so much in this tea. Give it a try, it's incredibly refreshing!

My friends, even the non-tea drinkers are always hooked as soon as they smell the fragrence in the tin. It is even better than a blackberry pie, because it is every bit as good, easy to make, and has 0 calories. Life is good with a cup of Blackberry Sage in hand! I savor it, and even bought a blackberry patterned bone china cup and saucer to complete the enjoyment!

Served hot it serves up an earthier taste which very satisfying. These tea is so good that I do find myself ignoring the Republic of Tea's motto. Not only will I enjoy it sip by sip, but also gulp by gulp, and even chug by chug. I will enjoy here and there, I will enjoy it anywhere.
