My dad made a wooden chute so I could rotate though my flavors easily (I have two pitchers in the fridge at all times; one of black tea for mornings and one of green or herbal for the rest of the day) and I've been tempted to keep two tins of Pineapple Ginger in it so I can have it twice as often. I bought it in bulk this time so I don't have to worry about running out.

I like to put 2 teabags in a really large mug and I keep them in until the cup is empty (don't knock it till you try it, tea police). I have a strong sweet tooth and as-is, this tea leaves me satisfied all day. I was first introduced to this tea about 7 years ago, while I was my dad's sole caretaker during the last years of his life. The mild caffeine boost in the afternoons and the brightness of the pineapple and ginger really kept me going during that trying time. I honestly don't know that I would have had the energy without this tea. And I can definitely say that my body was much happier when I replaced ice cream with green tea as an emotional crutch. Did this review just get too personal? If you know anyone who is a caretaker for a sick loved one, I highly recommend this tea as a gift. Self care is important for caretakers, who often forget to take the time out for themselves and often don't talk about how difficult their life has become. Tea is self care, especially this one.

Here's the recipe, and it came out FABULOUS! BEST tasting iced tea I've ever had!! In a gallon sized pitcher, fill with cold water. Add 16 tea bags, stir (I didn't add sweetener), cover pitcher, and put in the fridge. Let it set for 6 hours; removed and discard tea bags. Stir and serve over ice. I LOVE IT !!

However, in my opinion, that does little to detract from the overall experience. The tea leaf itself is very passable: smooth and pleasantly flavorful, with an almost sweet note. I accidentally over-steeped a cup, and still drank it. The ginger is subtle, and more detectable in the aftertaste, but I think if it were too strong, it would overwhelm the fruit. A little touch of sweetener elevated this tea to another level. I have liquid stevia/erythritol blend on hand, but I think real sugar would probably also be very nice. When I was a kid, dried pineapple was one of my favorite snacks. Sweetened a little, this tea put me in mind of those old days. I'll definitely buy this again; it's a great daily cup.

However, if you are expecting strong ginger flavor, this barely has any. The pineapple is rather subtle and not overpowering, but it is definitely more pronounced than ginger and I don't really taste any ginger. As pineapple tea it is quite awesome nonetheless. Overall great tea and would buy again.

This has quickly become my new favorite green tea. It doesn't smell much like pineapple when you open the container of tea bags, but the minute you brew it, it's a pineapple explosion in the best way. SO refreshing and it's delicious hot or iced.

It is truly delicious. Not bitter. I liked it so much my daughter in law sent me home with the tin. I love citrus and this tea fits the bill. So fresh. It's a green tea I will actually drink. I look forward to brewing a cup in the evening when day is done. And, thank you for offering the refills bags for my beautiful tin.

I tend to be constipated and I have found when I drink this tea daily, it improves my regularity. I hope they continue to make it.

Its clear, subtle flavor comes through--whether or not a pinch of honey is added. This tea ranks among my favorite Republic of Tea items--a list that includes ginger peach and honeydew melon. In fact, the only teas my family does not enjoy are the ones with stevia, which--we feel--leaves an "off" aftertaste. When sweetener is needed, we much prefer honey or a pinch of raw sugar.

I must have brewed it properly or the flavoring hides the bitterness. I usually prefer plain teas, so, I think I will try some plain green tea.

I love the 'pineapple and ginger' notes in this tea that mellow the grassy green flavor to a tolerable enjoyment. It's almost impossible to find it in the grocery stores, so now I must buy it from ROT direct...but it's worth it!! :)
