With that said, I really like this tea. I tend to chose it a lot more once fall hits and through the winter months. It is a nice no calories substitute for when you want apple cider without the calories. It pairs well with pumpkin desserts. I had it last night with pumpkin coffee cake. Nice smell, medium in flavor intensity. I would consider giving it a 5, but it is something I chose when the mood is right for something cider-ish or I am pairing it with something that apples pair well with. I don't consider it one of my most used teas.

It's soothing and if I want a stronger brew, I just add two bags to the water. It's also decaf so it's a great drink to put me to sleep. It's quite weak and watery, even with multiple tea bags in my smallest cup. I was hoping for a richly spiced apple flavor, but there's not much flavor to it at all, spices or otherwise. It has the flavor of apple cider without all the sugar, and a nice, subtle amount of spice - you know it's there, but it's not too assertive. I have cut down on my sugar intake over the last couple years, and now sweet things I used to like are just too sweet. Anyway, I also like this is caffeine free. It makes for a nice, warm sip on cold fall & winter nights....and I can still fall asleep at a reasonable hour!

This tea very much mimics the smell and flavor but can be consumed free of guilt. It is a bit weak so don't add extra water because it will dilute it. I also steep for 7-8 minutes.

I am pausing to try some other flavors but this is a trusted standby. I prefer two tea bags for a more robust flavor. No sweetener needed. Be ware of the mulled apple spice which has stevia added. However I decided to take a chance after seeing it at my local store. This tea is absolutely fantastic, the aroma and taste is as close to hot homemade apple cider as you can get in a tea without tasting artificial or really sugary. Apple and cinnamon notes are at the forefront while clove and ginger make up the backend along with a slight hint of rose. I can't wait to bring this to Thanksgiving to share with everyone, what a treat.

I like to drink it plain but I did see a recipe on the web for doctoring this with marshmallows and cinnamon sticks. It is perfect for my morning tea. It is a strong flavor of apple cider so don't expect this to taste like apple cider. It does have subtle hints of cinnamon and apples which I like. This is one tea I will enjoy into the winter. Highly recommend.

I've steeped shorter times and longer times….same results. I've even used 2 tea bags at once with very little improvement in flavor. A similar flavored from the big box store is much more flavorful.

Even after using 2-3 bags in 12 Oz of water, the flavor is really lacking. Since it's the season, I mix hot apple cider into my apple cider tea, in order to create something tasty. If ypu think this tea alone will be a substitute for normal, real deal apple cider, think again.

I've tried three cups, each time either steeping longer, using hotter water, or using cooler water and each cup is bland. There are other cinnamon spice teas with intense flavor and I'll stick with those.

I did not expect this herbal tea to taste so much like real hot cider, but it does! The apple flavor is delicious, and with the combination of cinnamon and cloves, the flavor is perfect! The cinnamon does not overpower the apple flavor, and the cloves help warm it up. I usually add honey to tea, but it's not needed in this tea which makes it even better. Love cider, but it has a lot of sugar in it (the cider in my fridge right now has 26gm sugar in 8 oz!). This tea has no sugar and tastes as good- and I don't have to wait for fall cider season! This is my new favorite herbal tea! I may try it iced next. 😉

I had to throw most of the cup away and will be throwing out the rest as the company won't refund, just offers credits. More chemical tea? No thank you!!! Buyer beware.

The spices don't overwhelm the apple flavor and with no caffeine it can be enjoyed in the evening without interfering with a good night's sleep. I make it a point to order a year's worth every fall because this isn't available year round.

I have tried apple-spice teas in the past, with mixed feelings - but I decided to try this on a whim. Wow! It is the closest thing to apple cider without actually having cider! I now have a favorite drink for those cold winter nights. And my mother, who is picky about such things, has made it her morning beverage.

This is my favorite tea from this company so far, I had it a few years ago and saw it only came back in stock recently and it lived up to my expectations. The only change I'd be interested in trying is making it slightly less acidic tasting, that said it's very good as-is. Fits nicely into a autumn/fall theme.

When I discovered this from Republic of Tea, I knew I had to try this and I am so glad I did. This is so pleasant and wonderful in aroma of apple and spice. The taste is deliciously light and satisfying. I steep two bags in 12 oz., so I have a double cup in an insulated tumbler and just savor it. I absolutely love this and will be ordering more.

However, the tea itself, in my opinion, could use some more flavor— and not "natural flavoring", but more spices. It's a bit watered down, and doesn't match the strength of the scent. And this coming from a woman who typically enjoys using one bag for many cups, so I'm not in opposition to lighter teas... it's just that this one starts weak. Overall, nice cuppa, but I recommend brewing two bags at a time (which means that in order to get a full cup, the tea is really twice the price.)

I tried this without and sweetener, and you get hints of apple with just the lightest touch of cinnamon and cloves. Then I added a packet of stevia, and it made it AMAZING! Granted, it's still not exactly the same, but I prefer it that way as real hot apple cider is overwhelmingly sweet to me. I've already added a refill to my cart so I can get another container while this is still in season! Definitely one of my favorite teas from RoT yet!

So yeah. Pretty good in my opinion, tastes like fall.

WHY has it gone? Double the ingredients as the other teas, which is probably what makes it so good and maybe more expensive to produce. I don't care! I'll pay more gladly! The taste is a lot weaker than the smell, but I found that adding a half teaspoon of honey helps to bring the flavor out. That kind of tea is a swift kick in the gut when compared to this kind of tea. This tea is sweet, delicate, and complex. It needs to be nurtured to bring out its full flavor. It must go into boiling water and be left to simmer for the full 5-7 min and really needs to go longer. I use one bag per my 24 oz. cup and actually leave my bag in the cup until I've hit bottom. I've also found that using a little bit of local, unfiltered honey goes a long way in boosting it to its fullest flavor. Something I have not achieved using any other sweetener (stevia, agave, or sugar). Don't miss out on a great tea that's good whether it's hot or cold. The longer it sits the more flavor it gets!

After all of these years, I finally decided to order some. Don't know what took me so long though. It's still my favorite tea I've ever had, but it seems different. It still smells and tastes amazing, perfect for fall weather, but it seems weaker than when I bought it quite some time ago. I guess you could say that it could be psychological, but it does seem like a lighter color when you steep it. Either way, will continue to buy, still the best tea around and for the price you can't go wrong, especially for special tea such as this.

I hate that I forget to stock up each year when I first see it because then I left wanting before Spring arrives. My second fav has to be the ginger peach. Love these teas!!! Gonna buy the bulk bag this time, then I won't run out!!!

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars This tastes just like apple cider! I drink lots of instant apple cider during the "cold" months--that means lots of extra sugar. But with this tea, I get the joy of apple cider and can control the sweetness myself with the sweetener of my choice.

My only option was to order the 150 tea bags size as the tin is sold out. That's alot of tea. Would have greatly preferred the tin size.

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars I first tried this tea a couple of years ago and fell in love---which is odd because I hate Apple Cider. Anyway, I went to reorder last year and it was sold out, so this year I ordered in bulk so I wouldn't miss it or run out before next fall. I love this tea plain and piping hot, but I also love to cook with this tea. That's right--it makes fabulous pancake syrup. I just rip open one tea bag for every diced up Granny Smith apple and boil everything in equal parts sugar and water until it turns to syrup (about 1 cup for 3 apples). I also like to rip the tea bags open and dump them into sugar cookie dough for an apple cider cookie (I also add about half a cup of the pancake syrup mentioned above). I can't wait to think of more ways to cook with this fabulous tea and the others.

I tried using two tea bags as somone suggested but then it just ended up tasting bitter :( It is still nice if you enjoy your tea weak - but I think I'll stick to the caramel apple in future.

I even tried adding a medley of spices to the cuppa tea, including nutmeg, cloves, and cinnamon, but nothing seems to help. I look forward to trying it as an iced tea this summer, like someone else suggested.

I hunted it down online and put in an order because I fell in love with the scent of the empty canister. I was sadly disappointed when I tasted my first cup. It was weak and watery. I tried a second cup and a third with lower proportions of water, but still I am not getting the richness I would hope for this harvest time treat. I have found a use for the tea bags, however. It makes a crisp and refreshing iced tea!

I think it has wonderful flavor - it's certainly more subtle than the cheaper grocery brand apple cinnamon teas that knock you over with too much cinnamon. The instructions on the container say to steep for 5-7 minutes before drinking, and if you do that and leave the tea bag in the mug while drinking, the flavor is wonderful.

To my dismay, it was a seasonal tea, so I had to wait for fall to order again. It was worth the wait. The longer you let it steep, the more it tastes like cider! This tea actually has apple pieces in it, so you're actually tasting real apple! I can't get over how delicious this tea is. My mom also loved it. And my dad, who isn't a tea drinker, well - I'm gonna have him try it. And I'm pretty sure he'll like it too. I better buy this one in bulk, considering it's limited edition. And my little tin is going to be gone before autumn!

Plus it makes me feel like I'm having a little dessert treat. This holiday season I was making peanut brittle with a friend and her grandson, and he wanted something to drink. Having nothing but coffee and tea in the house, I offered this tea. She made him a cup, and when I looked at it I saw she'd carelessly reached into the tin and grabbed 3 tea bags. The fear she might make him another cup of tea and use up all my Apple Cider tea bags drove me to buy a bulk bag.

While the aroma of this tea is spot-on, the taste just lacks apple, spice and some oomph to make it worth the wait.

Experiment with cream, no need to add sugar. Don't look for obvious apple and cinnamon flavors, it is very subtle - just the sort of thing to enjoy on Christmas Eve.
