This is the only Republic of Tea product that has ever truly disappointed me. This tea has almost no flavor, but is quite expensive (I do have a subtle palate). Not worth the money.
I am pleased with my purchase of these teas.
This is a delicious oolong tea. Rich flavor. A wonderful tea for anytime on the day! Is now one of my favorites! Highly recommend this tea for Oolong lovers.
Have finished my first tin and am purchasing the refill already. This loose leaf tea is absolutely delicious if you like oolong. It's a deeper, yet light & rich taste, a bit earthier peachpit flavor than the Dragon Oolong which is also delicious in the tea bag. Loose leaf Wuyi was reused at least one more time at full flavor, then composted
This is my go-to afternoon tea. Deep, rich, satisfying, but less caffeine than my morning tea.
Oolong is a favorite of mine and this does not disappoint.
Wonderful blend. I am enjoying it very much.
I do not like things in my tea. I like tea in my tea. Republic of tea teas the are green tea, English breakfast, tea etc. are the best I know of.
Oolong Full Leaf is a delightful tea, light and extremely delicate and refreshing.
Nice enough
One of the absolutely most wonderful and long teeth I have ever sampled. Smooth, high quality, and not even the slightest bitterness. My favorite oolong, bar none.
This tea is one of my favorites. It has a delightful floral and earthy flavor.
I really enjoyed this tea. So very smooth but energizing!
An excellent brew with a unique taste all it's own. Very high quality tea at a reasonable price. If you have never tried it, a delightful surprise awaits you! Enjoy!
Excellent tea. Quick reliable delivery.
I've been reading about the healthy benefits of oolong teas and this Wuyi Oolong Full Leaf sounded like something I'd like to try. It's light but full of straight on tea flavor. Really enjoy several cups in the morning. I enjoy it unsweetened (isn't bitter) or sometimes with a bit of honey.
I was curious to try an Oolong tea and after reading reviews, decided to try Wuyi. I have been very happy with my choice. Strong without being overpowering.
Wonderful cup of tea.
I have always preferred Oolong teas to any other and this one is very good. Taste is mellow and rolls off the tongue very well. I enjoy this tea morning, noon and night. When I travel I always take this tea with me so that I always have a great cup of tea.
This is pretty good tea. I enjoy the second brew of the leaves more than the first. The flavor comes across much better then. The flavor is fairly mild but enjoyable.
This is a great full leaf oolong. I have had many over the years, but really enjoy the flavor of this one.
Oolong tea is one of the reasons I joined the Republic back in the day.
This tea hits all of the right flavor and feel good notes for me. A hot cup on an achy cold day makes everything tolerable with dark honey notes and full flavor. An iced glass with fresh berries on the side is a wonderful refresher and mood booster during hot weather.
This is excellent premium quality tea. You cannot buy this in stores. I've been ordering it for over 10 years.
I recently had oolong tea at a local Dim Sum restaurant. It was so good. smooth with no astringency. I wanted to have some at home so I ordered Wuyi Oolong from Republic of Tea. . I am not disappointed. This tea is very delicious. Smooth and no astringency--just like at the restaurant. It's worth every penny!
This is a fabulously ordinary tea. There is no added flavors, just a pure, enjoyable black tea that can be enjoyed at any time.
When I first opened the tin I was immediately struck by the beauty of the leaves. They are so stunning. The flavor is smooth and bright and not at all bitter. I brewed for 5 minutes.
Full of pleasant tea flavor without all the tannins. Delicious with just the right amount of caffeine. I enjoy a cup every morning.
I love the soft, gentle, non-astringent taste of this Wuyi Oolong. I find it absolutely delightful. Such a smooth light taste. In the afternoon, I brew a small pot (I prefer to not bring the water to a boil. Just under, at about 195°F) and savor one or two cups in fine bone China. It lifts my spirits.
I got this tea purely for it's medicinal qualities and was SO happy when I found it has a delicious taste too! It's rich in antioxidants and polyphenols... all of which can help improve one's cardiovascular health AND reduce inflammation throughout the body (a biggie for me as I'm an active but older person). It can help boost cognitive function and memory recall (another biggie for me as I age). It's also great for teeth (I always slosh it around in my mouth for a bit), bones and apparently makes a good hair rinse as well which I have not as yet tried, but plan to. Japanese people believe it slows the aging process because of it's many health benefits and thus helps longevity... well all one has to do is look at their lifespans to know there's probably some merit in that belief. So with every sip I take of this tea, I toast a healthy longevity!!!
This is the best Oolong tea I've tried - rich, complex flavors and what a treat on a cold and dreary winter day! The full leaves make all the difference when brewing - and the aroma is comforting, too!
Nice delicate flavor
Good tea, easily burnt. Good but not my favorite.
Tried this one, but not happy with the balance, mouthfeel or flavor. Was so disappointed to have you discontinue the Milk Oolong. Will need to source elsewhere. I love Republic of Tea, but not this Wuyi oolong.
If you like Oolong tea - then this is one of the absolute best that you will ever drink. Smooth and incredibly complex flavor profile. I have had teas that cost twice or three times as much and none of them compare to this tea. You will become addicted.
Bright and fruity and reminded me of aged white tea and Oriental Beauty, but it's not from the Wuyi mountains. I was hoping this would be an everyday kinda da hong pao replacement. But this was different. Anyways, I brew it Grandpa style and I get two good 8oz brews from like a teaspoon of leaves.
I replaced my "tea maker", which is actually a coffee brewer, and the flavor of my tea was back to normal. The poor flavor of the tea was my fault, not the tea! I am sorry I wrote a bad review. Wuji Oolong has been my favorite tea for at least 5 years. It is the only thing I ask my adult children to get for me for Christmas.
This is not the Wuji Oolong that I have purchased for years! I suppose you have had to source it from a different place, but I only pay these prices to get the perfect oolong that I love. I am not happy with the flavor.
This is my seconf favorite oolong tea and I enjoy a cup often.
This wuyi is probably the best oolong I have ever had! The milk oolong is a solid, competent product, but this variety borders on unbelievable: smooth as with all real oolongs, delicious aftertaste, suitable for double infusion (the second one is even better...). I would recommend this variety to any tea drinker who appreciates smoothness and flavor.
Love this tea, so fine and flavorful.
I usually drink milk oolong tea. This tea, in my opinion, just doesn't compare. I would not purchase this again.
This gentle tea has the essence of Oolong, without the intensity. I enjoy it without any sweetener, which is the standard I use to judge tea quality. It is just what I thought it might be like, but better.
This tea has such a wonderful flavor. Absolutely delightful when paired with some homemade Chinese food! The flavor is so smooth, complex and rich, no bitterness at all.
Wuyi Oolong is my go-to tea. I began drinking it because of its health benefits, 16 years ago, but honestly, I keep drinking it for the pure enjoyment. I order loose leaf tea, and usually brew one cup in the morning. As i enjoy that cup, I steep the tea leaves so that I can enjoy cup #2. I drink mine with sweetener and a splash of milk. The tea leaves are steeped 2 more times, the 3rd time longer and the last time I just walk away and leave it steeping. Later, when I am ready for a glass of delicious iced tea, it is waiting for me. I buy the loose tea in bulk and refill my tin. Other teas have their allure, but once I run out of Wuyi, I really miss it! I have not found another tea that enjoy as much as Wuyi Oolong!
Outstanding cup, wonderful flavor! Multiple infusions. Will buy again !
This is my #1 favorite.Earthy taste without the dirt taste and never bitter. Have tried many oolongs and this is the best. Highly recommend.
When my tin gets empty, I always order more. I love real tea without flavorings. This is the top of my list. Enjoy!
This tea is not only good hot but good iced as well. A classic year round.
Wuyi Oolong is one of the most expensive teas - or do you might think. I enjoy one teaspoon per cup in the morning, brewed three times! It is amazing how much tea come from just that one teaspoon! I started drinking Wuyi Oolong for its health benefits. It quickly changed to choosing it just for its flavor. My morning is just not complete without my Wuyi Oolong!
I make small batches of fermented tea called Kombucha. If you don't know what this is, you can Google it and find a lot of information. If you buy Kombucha at Fresh Market or Whole Foods, it can become an expensive habit. Luckily, Kombucha is easy to make at home. I've experimented with different teas, and I like the Wuyi Oolong Full-Leaf tea from Republic of Tea the best for my brewing. The tea leaves are of the highest quality, very fresh, and are huge after steeping. The brewed tea is clear and has a beautiful color. I haven't made a cup of Wuyi Oolong just to drink since I don't drink a lot of hot tea. But I'm in love with fermented tea and these leaves are the best for home brewing.
Hands down my favorite tea so far. Very smooth well balanced but I did have the brew longer and add more then expected. Well worth it, my heaven in a cup.
love the balanced and sweet notes in this tea....highly recommend
tried a sample and really enjoyed it....ordered bigger size such a refreshing tea
no need for taste tests. this is always #1
Very pleasant, smooth taste. This is the best oolong I've tasted and I've tried plenty.
I grew up drinking teas especially formoosa oolong, but this is an especially great cup of tea. It is well worth the price. I can't always affort it but we all have to have a few luxuries in our lives and this is mine.
This is a good, well-rounded Oolong. It does not taste like peaches or honey. I'm not sure where they got that. If it tasted like any of the descriptions, I would say it would be chestnut. Mostly it tastes like any other oolong. Nothing to write home about. It's a good tea and I would buy it again. Has a decent second steeping using half the water used for the first steeping.
If you like or love Oolong, you will love this one. It's so smooth, almost sweet. When I've finished my cup, I'm still wanting for more. No sweet flavors, just pure Oolong at its finest. Yum.
A co-worker of mine from China would bring in Oolong tea. It was excellent and I've been looking for something like it ever since, but have always been disappointed. Not anymore. This tea is excellent. I was not disappointed. Actually, I was delighted.
This was a wonderful choice. I was able to re-brew my leaves 5 times. The flavor was well balanced, and there was no acidic after flavor. I loved the subtle floral hint.
Such a full-flavored rich tea! No after-taste...no flavor additives....just a smooth cup of sheer bliss. If you haven't tried it yet, treat yourself soon.
Many years ago I drank a tea in a Chinese restaurant that I liked extremely well. Though it wasn't sold in any of the major food stores, the restaurant owner gave me the name of store in the Chinese district where I could buy it. Whenever I ran out of the tea, I would go downtown to the Chinese district, and buy it by the bulk. Back then, tea was not very expensive, and I would buy enough to last at least 6 mos. It was an Oolong, but had a certain flavor to it that other Oolong's did not have. Later, the store where I bought it was no longer in business, and over the years, I tried various Oolongs, but none tasted like the tea I loved. When I ordered your Yu-Wi Oolong, I didn't really expect it to taste like the one I used to buy, but was surprised that it has the same flavor as the original Oolong I so enjoyed. I am glad to have found it again, though it's far more expensive than it was back in the day.
I love this tea! I only wish I had ordered a larger size. Will order it again.
This has been one of my favorites for quite a while. Nice flavor, not too overpowering.
I really want to like this tea, but am finding it too light on taste. Maybe I am brewing it incorrectly. Tried it natural and with a little sweetener. No joy!
When it comes to sipping a refreshing, sit back and let the world go by tea, oolong is wonderful. This tea is mean to be enjoyed slowly and not too hot. And by all means use the tea at least four or five times. It is able to stand the brewing repeatedly. So wonderful.
Okay, this is one beautiful tasting tea. Its silky and just slightly sweet. Its so good that I'm already hoarding the new can I just bought. I bought a Yixing teapot just for this oolong. Worth every cent, even the shipping. If you are an oolong fan, it would be criminal not to try this. =)
Very nice, full-bodied taste.
This is my very favorite tea. I have a cup every morning. The flavor is gently soothing and gives me a gentle way to wake up and start my day. I know I am drinking a high quality tea. It is expensive but well worth it and this is a nice indulgence to start my day.
Nice oolong tea. I enjoy the taste and buy it often.
This is a bit on the pricy side, but it's worth it as it is a very nice Oolong. The aroma is very nice; it's almost sweet. It also has a "young" or a "tender" taste as compared to other Oolongs, just as the description says, no astringency. I am not sure if it is a pick that is younger than other leaves, but it does taste like that is the case. If you like Oolongs, you should get the taster tin and decide if this is the one for you.
