It has a little thicker viscosity than regular tea, which was not at all unpleasant, and the flavor was very lemony and bright, with a little spicy chaser flavor from the ginger. I loved it! When I read that the ingredients seemed pretty much the same, I thought I would give it a try and was hopeful that it was just a change in packaging. But alas, no. "Get throat aid" just doesn't match up. Sorry about that, but perhaps you should left a good thing alone. This new formulation is o.k. but it just isn't as good as "get soothed."

It helps with sore throats and I believe also boost my immune system. I either have to have this at my house or the "get protected" one, or "get soothe", but I have to say the flavor of this one is my favorite among those three.

This is cedar fever season in Texas and I have had a terrible bout of it lately with all the usual allergy symptoms to the nth degree. Anyway, this tea is very soothing to an irritated throat and I think it helps the coughing too. I prefer this to other herbal throat products because it tastes better and licorice is not the first ingredient. Licorice is not my favorite flavor and it can raise blood pressure so even with this one I only have a couple of cups a day. I like the slight lemony/ginger flavor and do not find it overwhelming as some reviewers have. I notice the rooibos flavor most but it is the first ingredient so not surprising.

I also have GERD and had read that marshmallow root helps tame the effects of GERD, but who can drink this tea? The smell and taste of this tea is astonishingly terrible. It's hard to explain, but it's like a cross between an old chest rub, an old house, stale candy, and granny. A hard pass for me. The packaging is great and it's nice that it has 36 tea bags, but this one just isn't for me. I'll pass it along to someone who can appreciate it.

I have a herniated esophagus and almost all food comes back into my throat. When I saw that this herb is in one of The Republic of Teas, I tried it out. It immediately soothes my throat and calms my esophagus. Now maybe any warm tea helps and this is just in my head, but I am now using it nightly and can finally sleep. Not a bad taste, not much of a taste at all..
