However, for my first cup, I did not follow the steeping instructions; thus, was thoroughly disappointed at the bitterness I encountered. For my second cup, I followed instructions and was pleasantly surprised at the mild pineapple and guava notes that this lovely white tea delivers without any bitter taste at all. Give it a try, but be sure to follow the steeping instructions.

Quick to brew (30 to 60 seconds or it becomes bitter, so watch that carefully), it's flavor is light and delicate and very smooth. I tried it and was amazed at the flavor of this tea! I didn't pay any attention to the instructions at their house, but when I got home and ordered a canister for myself. When it arrived I set about brewing a cup. This time I read the instructions and realized that the white tea needs a lower temperature water AND a shorter brew time. So now I brew it for about 2 1/2 minutes and it's SO delicious. Throw in some honey and the flavor is taken to new heights! Now I've got a dilemma, which tea do I choose?!?

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars As a notorious over-steeper, I was terrified of messing up the brew time when I first tried white tea. I did okay with a thermometer and timer but found the hot brew was too subtle for my taste - good if you like subtle, kind of boring if you want a little more flavor oomph in your hot drink. On a whim, I tried cold brewing this tea as I do with coffee in the summer and WOW, Pineapple Guava cold brew iced tea is now my favorite! I pour about 6 cups or 1500 ml of cool, filtered water over 6 tea bags (a large mason jar works well), cover, and let it sit on the counter for about 6 hours. Voila - delicious tea and much less risk of over-brewing! It's still a subtle flavor but somehow much more appealing to me, especially when served ice-cold. Store it in the fridge and serve with lots of ice; you may also want to water it down a bit to taste. If you brew past 8-9 hours, it will start to get bitter, so be careful because there is still a tighter brew window versus cold brewing coffee and probably other, less-sensitive teas as well. The bit of extra effort is worth it for this tasty, light, refreshing and unique iced tea! I plan to try this cold brew process with other fruity white tea blends as well. Happy sipping!

This is a delicious standout. I preferred the pineapple guava flavor to the mango white tea, which I actually found much more bitter. You should only ever steep these for 1 minute!! I had concerns I wouldn't like this one due to the guava pictured being green and not pink (I love really fruity flavors) but I will repurchase this promptly. This is in the top three of the sixteen I bought. It is beautiful, fruity, but mild. Divine. By the way, I will be reviewing each of the teas I bought and this review is not incentivized at all. If I don't like a tea, I will write about what I didn't like about it. I will not be reviewing high caffeine teas.

It has a very short steep time. It does seem to get bitter when you get called away at work and can't come back for a few hours. That's not a huge deal, I was just surprised by that and maybe the comment will help keep someone from wasting a tea bag.

It usually has a lighter and clean taste than other types of tea. I was expecting a light tea with significant pineapple and guava flavor. I did not get a lot of fruit flavor and it was a let down for me. There are so many other ROT flavors I would much rather prefer. I finished the tin, but would not purchase again.

However, I've been wondering for over a year why Pineapple Guava's not available in the bulk bag or as a refill. In fact, it is the only white tea that is not available in the Bulk and Refill sizes, which makes no sense as Pineapple Guava consistently comes out on top when sorting white teas by "Best Selling" on the RoT site. I've mentioned this to several RoT customer services reps who said that they'd forward my comment to the PTB but one year later and it's still not available in bulk. Fingers crossed this is rectified sooner rather than later.

But then I noticed the label, directing the tea drinker to only steep the bag for one minute. After trying that, I have a new favorite tea. The only complaint I have is that I occasionally forget and leave the tea bag in too long and end up with a bitter cup. I am looking forward to trying the other white teas now that I know the trick to a non-bitter cup. This flavor was very light, fruity, and pleasant (when you don't leave the tea bag in for too long).

If you are careful, though, the tea will be just lovely, and not bitter at all. As a white tea, it is very light. If you aren't a fan of flavored teas, you may not like this one. The flavor is lovely, but you taste the sweetness of the pineapple and guava more than the underlying tea flavor. Makes both a wonderful cup of hot tea or iced tea as well. One of my favorites!

It tastes great with just a little sweetener. If you add milk to the sweetener, it tastes like liquid cake. It makes me happy. When Whole Foods stopped carrying it and I couldn't find it anywhere, I was pretty upset but then I called Republic of Tea directly and thank goodness, they still carry it! It's my favorite tea. Four tea bags to two quarts of water, throw in fridge over night, next day its ready. Cold brewing delicate white tea, is the way to go. Using the cold brewing method, the Pineapple Guava White Tea results in a very smooth, flavorful, and satisfying iced tea.

So after sitting for a bit, while I contemplated whether or not to finish drinking it, it got cold. That was delicious! I will definitely be drinking more of this tea; and the only reason I'll be giving it away is to share the great taste with others.

It has a subtle flavor that is unique cup after cup. I resisted getting the 250 bag mega size - but alas the body is week and the desire is strong. This white has a surprising caffeine kick

I'm a sweet drinker I always had honey to my tea suggesting the wildflower honey as it's best and not to much the pinnapple is like a naturaly sweetener. This tea is like perfection to me.

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars I looooove this tea! Usually pineapple can have a bitter taste when used in teas, but not this one! The naturally light flavor of white tea makes the pineapple taste perfect. No need to add sugar or anything as I like it all by itself.
