This was the very first tea we tried from TROT. It has really become our “go to” tea for evenings after a long day. My wife drinks hers without anything, but I have a bit of agave syrup in mine. The flavor is smooth and calming, but a slight hint of almond and coconut, and of course smells wonderful. We also order seasonal teas, and special teas, but this is our favorite all around!
Karen from WI on 5/14/2019 wrote:
Red tea is my favorite and the flavor of the coconut takes me to a tropical paradise. Most of the red teas have flavors associated with fall and winter so this tea is a nice change for a spring like taste.

I Love this tea. Add a bit of half and half and sugar....it is dessert! So decadent.
Marnie from GA on 2/17/2019 wrote:
This makes a good after dinner or dessert tea. The flavors are very mild with the almond being more prominent than the coconut. Nice when you don't want a heavily flavored tea. I leave the bag in while drinking and it never becomes too strong.
Bonnie from WA on 1/31/2019 wrote:
I couldn't taste the coconut or almond at all. Not my favorite flavor that I imagined it might be.

This was the favorite of my recent purchses. Sweetener optional. I like a dollop of cream. I also do not steep it as long as recommended. Delicious.

This tea is an absolute must have for me. It's one I've drank for years now and though I must admit I get bored with it sometimes, it's one I ALWAYS come back to. I love rooibos teas, and this is the best one I've had yet. If you're a fan of almond flavored foods, you will love this tea. I add stevia and sometimes a splash of milk. This one doesn't have much of a coconut flavor though, which I was disappointed with at first but I don't mind now. I still love this tea so much! One of my must haves along with Republic of Tea's Hot Apple Cider Tea (:

I tried this tea when first introduced, fell in love and kept it in rotation. It is rich, deep and flavorful with that kick of coconut. Dessert-y and delish. I usually drink it hot with a spoonful of honey. Hmmm- will have to try it iced...

This tea is delicious, caffeine free, and calorie free. It's perfect with a little milk in, or almond/coconut milk for those that do not want dairy. Somehow it tricks your brain into thinking it's eating a yummy sugary treat. I love it before bed or after dinner. I like it better than the Red Velvet Rooibos because I think the almond and coconut flavors pair better with the red tea.

My husband purchased this tea for me at a health/natural products store in our town. This is quite honestly the best tea I have ever had. The flavor is delicious and the fact that it's caffeine free is all the better. It's warm, delicious and comforting. The flavor is exactly as described and there is a LOT of flavor in those little bags! Best tea I have ever had!

So looked forward to coconut macaroon flavors, but didn't get. However, it is a nice tea regardless. Republic, please bump up the flavor on this tea, it needs it badly.
Langshe from CT on 6/13/2016 wrote:
This is a wonderfully delicious tea. The flavors meld together so nicely and it hasn't been artificially sweetened with Stevia like so many of the other teas Republic of Tea makes.

I have not seen this product on line for a while & was really afraid it had been discontinued! It is my all time favorite & I am only able to get it on line. There was a bulk buy last year that I was glad I bought it when I stopped seeing the smaller cans. 250 bags is what I believe it was. I hope it is going to be available again. The tins are nice, but I could just refill as well!
Love this flavor,

My store recently discontinued this tea and I panicked thinking Republic had discontinued it! It's great on it's own, but I like it even better as a pseudo-chai. I add unsweetened almond milk and a drizzle of either honey or agave. For those who feel it's not assertive enough, here's an idea: on days when I want it stronger I just add one more teabag—I don't find that to be too strong.
Nancy England from TN on 12/7/2014 wrote:
This is a very gently flavored tea. I was expecting something more assertive. Nonetheless I enjoy it. I've found that with a splash of milk, it's much too subtle for me. I tried adding some lemon and that brought it up to 'enjoyable' standards, though the lemon provided most of the kick.

Doesn't taste watery and Grassy or sharp like many caffeine free or herbal teas. Full bodied and rich. Can stand up to milk and honey too without losing its taste. Love it

I read the reviews for this tea before I bought it. It seems to be very controversial, some people really like it and some don't. I really like it - it and good hope vanilla are my new favorites. Its not sweet, but thats ok with me. Its fragrant and almondy. I will definitely purchase a refill. BTW ROT, is Botswana Blossum ever coming back?

I really like to drink this tea in the evenings before bed. I tried it with milk and with honey in it and didn't like it; it tastes best just by itself. The coconut flavor isn't obvious, but it blends well with the almond flavor. I can smell the coconut when I take a sip, though.

Although this tea doesn't remind me of a coconut macaroon I did like the taste with a splash of milk. For me it had a weird smell and aftertaste but I still enjoyed the flavor.
Jim from PA on 12/23/2012 wrote:
Rooibos is definitely the right base. The almond flavor and aroma are excellent, but the coconut flavor is too mild. The blend must be heavily sweetened to bring out its dessert nature, which is its major asset. I will reach for this blend only as a guiltless dessert substitute.

I got this tea for my birthday and was very excited to try it. I was not disappointed! It is a VERY good almond tea. I can't really taste the coconut (macaroon flavor) but the tea is smooth and I've been drinking it as an evening relaxer. Good stuff!

I have to say I was really disappointed in this tea. I bought it along with the Banana Chocolate and Coconut Chocolate teas as a desert tea to help feed my sugar cravings. While this tea isn't terrible, I feel like it's very light and the coconut flavor tastes artificial. I loved the coconut flavor in the Coconut Chocolate, but for some reason this one just tastes funky. I'm thinking if you enjoy the lighter tasting teas you might be a fan. As for the artificial coconut taste, it is probably dependent on the beholder. I know others have said they love this coconut flavor and hate the coconut flavor in the Coconut Chocolate. Perhaps that difference is in the degree of the coconut notes you taste (this being very light to me).

I love rooibos tea and its flavor is not overpowered by the coconut or almond flavors. That being said, you can still taste the macaroon and almond flavors - everything is perfectly balanced. This is a great dessert tea or something to sip instead of eating junk food.
