The purchasing process didn't provide a thoroughly-detailed "review order" before purchasing, so I didn't notice the subtle default checkbox of "deliver to billing address." Right away I noticed I accidentally asked this to be shipped to my own address. (I should have been more careful, but the website certainly didn't facilitate carefulness.) Click 'cancel recent order'? Nope, no option for that. So I called, and -- to the Republic's credit -- I got a real human right away. She took down the correct shipping address, and said someone would call me within 24 hours to confirm that the order will be shipped to the correct address. After not receiving that call, I called back. They wrote down the correct address again, and assured me it would be shipped to the now-corrected address, with 100% certainty. Nope: They shipped it to my billing address instead. So I clocked out of my hourly wage job, drove to an out-of-town post office to rush the gift to its recipient. Side note: To me, the idea of gift wrap is to conceal the surprise contents inside. So putting "Republic of Tea" on the outside of the gift wrap kinda defeats the purpose. Despite these troubles, I must say it is absolutely delightful that Republic of Tea has real people answering the phone: Real people that appeared to be engaged with the work; not just an answering service.

Well my holiday shopping online shipping experience has not been great in the past with other retailers such as clothing. So I went ahead and selected gift wrap. I called them as soon as the box arrived to tell them how awesome the box was and that I didn't want to wrap it so I left it in the shipping box so she had another box to open when she got to it. The box is beautiful and the ribbon adds such a elegant touch! Inside this beautiful box the happy little glass teapot for one was all in one piece and the cans of tea and everything are just wonderful! This is for sure one first class customer service company. It is tops on my list. Thank you for being such a caring company and take people into consideration and treat them as how you would like to be treated when receiving a gift wrapped box that you paid for. I paid more for clothing stores Buckle and Express and I will never do it again. THANKS AGAIN! I need to get

It would have looked great all by itself under the tree.
