(I even exclaimed out loud, ”Uji!”) It is mild and balanced with a hint of grassy vegetation - perfect for spring and summerI would recommend it to anyone who likes their Japanese green tea to be on the milder side.

We are citizens of The Republic of Tea because their tea is always fresh and of very high quality. I'm sipping a cup of this tea as I write this and I must say that it tastes like it was harvested just yesterday. It's okay to settle if you're settling for the best. Become a Citizen and settle for sencha from The Republic.

I ordered some right after getting home. This tea does not disappoint - it is full bodied and earthy and brings me right back to the memory of the gardens.

Also, this particular green tea actually contains a significant amount of caffeine so it can elevate your mood and energy ... super cool! Again... benefiting everyone! Health benefits AND energy too!!! Can't beat that! Plus... it just tastes so darn good. It has a most refreshing and clean taste to it. In fact, this is one of those teas that should be (and is by me) sipped on a regular basis. You cannot go wrong with this tea as it is truly (and for many reasons) a tea for all! This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars Rumor has it that this tea is grown in the shade in particular areas of Japan and picked by hand by virgins in flowing white robes in the full moon's light as Monks chant rhythmically and flutes play in the gentle breeze. The result is a tea that fills the soul with the Light of the Gods and the warmth of a lover. It's a great tea. But next time, please send a recording of the music they make.

It has a clean, green, sweet taste, and although the description says it pairs well with savory foods, I actually really have been enjoying it with sweet foods too.

The scent of the tea makes me think of lying in a field of delicate grass, but the taste is so comforting and pure. If I ever find a better green tea, I will be astonished because I just ordered this a month ago and am already planning on buying it again with my next order. I'm even going to ship some to my family.

Consistency, shipping speed, and the flexible auto ship program make Republic a step above others in overall ease and quality.

I drink it every morning, and it is perfect. It's smooth, light, and has that perfect sencha taste, being earthy yet fresh. After buying the tin twice, I've now moved onto the bulk size, because I just can't get enough. I can also trust that I'll continue to get good quality from the republic of tea! The only tea I've stopped purchasing from them is Matcha, because I've opted up for ceremonial grade, which is a lot brighter and less muddy. Anyway, this sencha is my fave!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars This tea is great! I always loved the way Sencha tea smells, and was always disappointed when I got tea bag versions at Japanese restaurants. This version is fresh and lovely. The smell is very vegetable, almost like sweet spinach. The color is a wonderful green and the taste is very refreshing with a aftertaste of guava, unripe Mango or some other tropical fruit. Also too since the tea is basically shredded a little bit goes a long way. One of my favorites from here

Bright green flavor with a hint of strawberries. I was initially put off by the amount of sediment produced, but then learned that this is desired with sencha.
