Lost count of how many times we have ordered this. Consistently tasty tea. Nothing overpowering - vanilla notes smoothly combine with the lemon. We enjoy it lunchtime, afternoon, and evenings
This is the second time I've purchased this flavor and its still as good as I remember it! You can sweeten to taste but even on its own, it tastes like dessert!
Gifted to my sister in law… it’s her favorite!
Too sweet or something. Does taste like cake. Do not care for this one, but would like to try another lemon one.
Love this tea. Always make it iced with a bit of honey. I add a shot of lemon vodka for a great cocktail as well!
A dupe for Tazo Glazed Lemon Loaf, without all the individual tea bag packet waste! It's the perfect mix between desserty and fruity. Surprisingly good hot, I just add some sugar.
Love this tea - perfect for nights when I'm craving sweets but don't want the extra calories ... tastes like a lemon bar in a warm mug
This tea is definitely a dessert in a cup! With a sweet lemony flavor like lemon meringue pie or lemon coffee cake, I simply must have a little sweet something with it to satisfy that craving.
This is a decent cup of tea but I would appreciate a stronger lemon flavor
Absolutely delicious--possibly the best dessert tea I've ever tasted. I love lemon-flavored treats and this is just sublime.
This my favorite! However, I say that about most of your teas I order.
lovely fragrant tea. I love lemon, never tire of it- I choose this tea often
I really enjoy the aroma and taste of this tea - it goes great with our without milk/sweetner
Not strong enough lemon just OK
This is my daughter's favorite tea. It is like a dessert!
A great dessert tea or iced!
Love this flavor. Refreshing lemon taste but sweet enough to drink as an evening dessert tea.
I tried this at a friend's house and immediately needed my own
This tastes exactly like a lemon chiffon dessert! The lemon is cut nicely with a vanilla type of flavor that makes this tea a delight anytime.
This is a solidly good tea, though it could be more lemony. It leaves a subtle aftertaste that I'm on the fence about but most times-especially as it cools-it's okay.
My grandchildren love this tea! For a long time it was the only tea they would drink. Now that my granddaughter is older, she takes some of the teabags home with her every time she visits.
Nice soft lemon tea. Pairs nicely with the lemon cream honey. Great for a quiet afternoon pick me up or with dessert.
This tea reminds me of shortbread cookies and is one of my favorite desert teas to have around the house.
This might be my favorite tasting tea here. It certainly is lemon delightfulness - it does taste like a lemon dessert; it might be my 7-year-old's favorite too. My 12-year-old's favorite is the Mint Chocolate one. They also love the Apple Cider one - although I feel like you need two teabags for that because it's weak. This blend tastes amazing and is great for your health and in a paper stringless bag. I love their standards. Only the best.
One of my favorites, although I have many favorites from the Republic of Tea. I only drink herbal teas so this is my go to for all my tea since they have such a great selection.
What a wonderful aroma and delight taste.
This herbal tea has been a family favorite for years; I always have a supply on hand. My husband enjoys it iced while I prefer a cup of hot tea. It does taste like lemon cake!
I had this tea at a friends house. I had to buy some for myself because it was so good!
This is my favorite non-caffeinated tea! The flavoring is perfect, and it’s relaxing to drink at work.
This tea is always enjoyable I love it
Over the holidays, I tried this delicious tea while visiting my partner's family and was blown away by the delicate lemon fragrance. Adding honey really brings out the flavor. (If I could leave a higher rating than 5, I would.) As a dedicated lemon lover, I will most certainly be repurchasing more when it runs out. On that note, maybe I should consider Sip by Sip Autoship... Please please please keep making this tea!!!
Such a light flavorful tea . Great on its own or with a shortbread cookie.
Tea is pleasant but could use a little more lemony creme flavor.
I have been using this tea for the last 4 years or so and LOVE the smell and taste of it. I mix it with Green Tea from Republic and they go great together.
This is a nice tea. I add a little milk and honey to it and it tastes like dessert.
Pretty good with some creamer or milk
I really love lemon tea, but this wasn't lemony. It's missing that distinct flavor, so I was disappointed. It tastes a bit like cake but plain.
This is my absolute favorite flavor you make. It carries a smooth subtle flavor that isn’t sweet or too citrusy. I drink 2 cups of this a day and my husband will blend it with black tea in the summer to make iced tea.
This tea was surprisingly quite yummy, I wasn’t sure about lemon flavored tea, but it’s great and has become one of my favorites.
I absolutely love this flavor. Highly recommended for any time of day!
Love love love this delicate blend of green roobios. delicious!
My English teacher had this and let me try some -- it was so good! smelled really sweet and very dessert-y:)
This is my favorite bedtime tea! It tastes exactly as described: lemon cake! I can’t use the typical sleep teas because I’m allergic to chamomile, so I have to settle for caffeine-free, but I don’t feel slightly deprived! It’s so delicious!
A 10! I will be trying all the Cuppa cake flavored after this one. Tastes like lemon cake and is just as good as having a dessert to me.
My 5 year old daughter loves drinking tea with me, but I usually don't want her having caffeinated tea. This tea is perfect! She loves the flavor, and it makes her feel very grown-up to share a cuppa with me :) I also drink it whenever I want a caffeine-free option, and I can confirm that it tastes wonderful! I will definitely be ordering more when we run out.
Doesn't really taste like cake per se, but is a nice lemon tea. I wouldn't say it was a dessert substitute but is a nice to have after meals.
It’s nice and sweet and delicate, very well balanced!
Suttle flavor. Could be stronger. Good to mix with other flavors
I really liked the lemon and cake flavors, but it definitely needs a stronger lemon note. If you like delicate flavors, this is for you. I'd like more lemon, please!
It tastes nice, but not too exciting. I love lemon and would prefer a shaper lemon flavor
This is my favorite tea to drink in the afternoon or even before bed. I can’t say enough how much I love this tea!
This tea tastes just like shortbread and it is my go to tea for panic attacks , better than alcohol ??
This is a delicious tasting tea! It is like dessert in a cup w/o the extra calories! It has a very nice lemon-icing cake taste! I don't know how they do it but it is really that good and can replace dessert if you are trying to cut down. I recommend this flavor!
The has a delicate lemon cake flavor. Ordered it for my mom as she loves lemon everything. Ordered it for my own collection.
Excellent Coconut soft lemon flavor!! I love adding a splash of cream to this one.
There isn't any lemon taste. There isn't any taste. This is the worst tea that I have ordered from Republic of Tea. I wouldn't recommend this tea to anyone.
I am a return buyer of the caramel cuppa cake flavor however, this one does not have any discernible lemon flavor and we did not like it so I wrote the company and sent it back and they returned the purchase price right away which was awesome service! I buy many other flavors our family loves- just not this one!
I really enjoyed this tea - it's very gentle with hints of the green rooibus, buttery smelling with a gentle sweetness, but I wish this tea was more lemony! It's a really nice base, but I just wish there was a little more lemon. Sometimes I'll add a slice of fresh lemon, but I wish the tea had more of that flavor on it's own.
Incredible as an after-meal beverage--no dessert required. Initially ordered a canister but once I tasted it, I enjoyed it so much that I ordered the refill bag.
Rooibos tea is the only tea that I can drink due to sensitive stomach. Although I drink a lot of red rooibos teas, this green one allows me to have an even greater diversity of enjoyable flavors. There is a delicious lemon flavor.
I love this tea! Sweeter and smoother than most lemon teas. It's one of my new favorites!
i wanted to like this tea, but it's wanting in a few areas. first of all, there is no lemon flavor present. the primary flavor is warm and buttery, which is great, but it sort of falls flat from there. the potency is surprisingly low, you will need to use multiple bags per cup. i have found that it works well in conjunction with other warm flavored teas so i've been adding them in.
This is a lovely desert tea but I was wishing the lemon flavor would be stronger. I am tasting a lot more vanilla.
I actually bought the lemon chiffon tea thinking it was the same as the cuppa cake lemon tea (thought maybe RoT just updated the label or something). After trying it I realized they are different teas but I am not complaining because the chiffon tea is delightful! Also love that they have the refill and large quantity options, which the lemon cake tea does not have. My favorite thing to do is mix the lemon chiffon with Mom-strawberry tea; a heavenly combination that tastes like summer in a cup.
This tea smells and tastes like lemon chiffon cake! Very relaxing and calming after a stressful day. The kind of tea that makes you say, "Ahhhhh…" after the first sip! How wonderful that you can infuse this flavor in a tea. And I love that it's caffeine free. Highly recommend it.
Delightful dessert tea...sweet without added sweetener... however there's gotta be monk fruit or something similar in the "natural flavor" ? but not at all a weirdly sweet flavor (not that odd stevia taste). Love it- kids & anyone with a sweet tooth will love it.
I enjoy this Lemon tea for dessert.
This is a very mellow tea very reminiscent of lemon cake. It's a delicious after dinner or dessert tea that is very fragrant but subtle and not overpowering or acidic. It's best served with a splash of oat or almond milk and honey, but it has a natural sweetness of its own. This one is always on my re-order list. Five stars!
First to start completely my fault for not noticing this had Coconut in it. I am not the biggest fan of coconut, I can handle it in small amounts. This tea taste more like coconut than anything else
I absolutely love this tea. I usually always have to order one when I place a order. It has such a great lemon flavor with a real extra balanced out flavor of almost like a dessert. Great when you want a night time snack. Drink this instead.
I ordered this in hopes that it would be as good as my favorite Glazed Lemon Loaf tea by a well-known name brand. This tea is slightly lemony and sweet, but not nearly enough. The flavor misses the mark. It is still enjoyable, but it definitely is not my go-to tea.
This has a nice gentle lemon flavor, with notes of coconut. I like a stronger/more tart lemon flavor, but this is perfect if you want the gentle/sweet lemon with coconut.
A lovely vanilla cake flavor and light lemon, just wish it was a little bolder, seems slightly weak - but definitely enjoyable.
Love this tea! Smells and tastes good. Cute tin!
This tea is naturally sweet and tastes like a dessert in a tea. Great lemon flavor without being tart.
This tea is delicious! It tastes sweet although there is no added sweetener. Guest to my house love it as well! If you, like me, are not a fan of red rooibos, give the green in this blend a try.
Delicious and one of my favorites! Perfect after dinner drink and I love that it's caffeine free.
I have been ordering this since I was first introduce to the RPT. It's one of the tea that I always order once fall weather hit. A splash of milk makes it even better.
Everything about the Republic of Tea is first rate. The teas are delicious; the deliveries quick and protected.
I love this tea - it's the second time I've ordered it. Will likely keep it stocked at my house as it's a perfect dessert tea to have in the evening.
I have tried to duplicate this on my own...but the mix and mingle of flavors is just perfect. Next time I will just get the BIG bag!!!!! Perfect hot, cold, all day long.
I have purchased many a tea from RoT and usually am very pleased with the flavor profile. This one falls flat. Maybe a hint of lemon? Second time I steeped I used double the recommended tea bags hoping it would bring out the flavor. Unfortunately it did not, and now I have 250 bags to get through. Live and learn!
I tried several lemon teas before I found this one. And then I stopped looking. It's a smooth tea, with a wonderful, natural lemony flavor. I like that it's not acidic and sharp like some lemon teas.
I ordered three caffeine-free tea flavors for lunchtime. Two were good strawberry flavors, but Lemon Chiffon Cuppa Cake is my favorite. It's very flavorful, without being too sweet or too tart. I like to add a little cream. I reordered all three, accidentally getting the bulk size of Strawberry Cuppa Cake. I wish I had gotten the bulk size of Lemon Chiffon Cuppa Cake instead!
This is my favorite flavor tea to-date! It's a wonderful balance of flavors - light lemon flavor with a hint of sweetness.
The lemon chiffon! I love hours this smells when I open the tin. So yummy! Like a warm lemon cake. I also combine this with the Good Hope Vanilla, but also great alone. Love the cuppa cake category, please add more to the list!!
Tastes great hot or cold
The flavor is mild and very sutil. I do like it although I was expecting it to be a bit sweeter and more lemon taste. I'm not sure I would reorder but I will drink it. If you're looking for a mild lemon flavor this is it.
This is a creamy lemon flavor with some depth. It's great to cut a sweet craving!
I usually stock several teas and tisanes and rotate amongst them. This won't replace my two favorites, Featherington and Almond Coconut Macaroon, but it makes a nice addition to the rotation.
When you want a sweet treat w/o loads of calories this is a delicious tea for that.
This is one of the best of the cuppa cake teas. I like that it tastes just like lemon cake without being too artificial tasting.
This remains one of my alltime favourite teas, first received in a Mother's Day gift basket from my son. I would never have selected this tea on my own, and now it's a fixture in our house -- such a pleasant surprise! If you are looking for a strong lemon-leading flavour, this is not your tea -- it is perfectly balanced between the natural lemon and vanilla, and with the grounding base of green rooibos, should be considered as you would a white tea. Needs no sweetener. I recommend it all the time...
I love this tea by itself or I often add it to other tea. It goes well with most black, green, and fruit teas!
This tea is very light but don't mistake that for lacking flavor. The coconut is prominent but not overpowering. The lemon is very light but the overall sweetness left on the pallet from the vanilla and honey is a delight.
Just the right amount of lemon flavor to enjoy hot with a little honey or cold with a squeeze of a wedge of lemon.
Absolutely love this lemon chiffon tea. You can drink it hot or cold and it tastes like a lemon chiffon pie!
This tea is amazing. A subtle lemon with vanilla and coconut undertones. Yum!! I don't even have to add a sweetener! Try it with a froth creamer! I promise, you'll love it!
This is by far my favorite Cuppa Cake Tea and I have tried several. I love lemon anyway and the added hint of coconut gives it something extra. It really does remind me of lemon chiffon cake.
I really enjoy this tea. The flavors are all there. It tastes delightful.
This pairs beautifully with the hibiscus pineapple lychee tea. I like to try different t combos. The coconut pineapple pairs with the hibiscus and lychee take it to a new level of tropical flavor.
Great any time of day, it's flavorful but light. It's a sweet lemon without tasting artificial or light medicine. It's a nice dessert tea!
Never, ever thought I'd find an herbal tea I truly ENJOYED drinking. So many were too floral or left a strange, unpalatable aftertaste. So happy I discovered Lemon Chiffon and found my evening (no caffeine) cuppa comfort. A smidge of honey and a splash of cream make it a little treat that I look forward to each night. It's a mild flavor so if you like a bold taste you can steep a little longer OR try one of the other offerings to find YOUR perfect cuppa!
I loved this one. It had excellent flavor. It paired well with cream and few drops of agave. But it doesn't need anything. It stands on its own.
I had this tea sent to my daughter who lives in an another state. She loves it!
i love very many roobios teas
With lashings of lemon, silky vanilla and a kiss of coconut, this tea is truly a chiffon cake in a cup! Lightly sweet and lusciously lemony, this sipper is delectably delicate with a smooth, creamy finish. Perfect for dessert....or anytime a cuppa with a lovely, lilting lemon aroma is craved to lift one's spirits whilst tickling the tastebuds with a subtle suggestion of the finest and airiest of chiffon cakes.
I'm tea-addict and tea-curious ! So I ve tried this one as I really love citrus, a must-try for the lemon lovers !
I love lemon everything so I had high hopes for this tea. I was a little disappointed that the flavor seems kind of weak and watered down. I tried brewing a very small cup and it did help, it has a lovely light lemon taste, just not what I was expecting or really one of my favorites I hate to say.
I'd like this to be a little more lemon than chiffon, but it's still a delicious treat.
Smooth as silk lemon taste.
This tea is great with honey. It's my go to when I feel a cold starting.
I LOVE this tea! For me, it has a lovely buttery coconut flavor, and could use a little more lemon flavor. I just add my own lemon & it's wonderful!
I liked the flavor of this tea, but felt the lemon flavor could be stronger. I'm not sure if steeping it longer or using less water than recommended would help.
This tea had a light lemon flavor with a sweet finish. A delightful cup.
Nice lemon cake flavor. Really tastes like lemon cake! I wish it was a stronger tea, I definitely have to keep the cup small for this one. But the flavor is enjoyable.
Really nice lemon cake flavor, not too strong just right!
This may be a very yummy tea for you if you like coconut, but it is way too strong for me. The description says it is lemon, vanilla with "a hint" of coconut but I think this is very misleading. It is more like coconut, vanilla with a hint of lemon. This tea would be more aptly named "coconut macaron" or "coconut creme cake". I tried adding more lemon even but the coconut aroma is overpowering to me.
Delicious and very pleasant! I especially appreciate the fact that it's unsweetened so I can enjoy the lemon and vanilla flavors on their own. This is repeat order for me.
The light and delicate lemon chiffon flavor is delightful any time of day and any time of the year.
I'm not sure how this tea is made but it does taste like a lemon chiffon cake my mother used to make when I was a child. Nice light lemon cake flavor no aftertaste.
I have been drinking The Republic of Tea products for years. I've never been disappointed. I wiil continue to enjoy their products. I recommend it to my friends.
Subtle flavor which is unusual but tastes good!
This was the one I was most excited for. It smelled terrific. It's not a full body tea, but I was informed by my tea loving sister this taste even better with a little bit of milk or cream.
I'm in love with this tea! I'll definitely be purchasing more of it. It's the best lemon tea that I've had. Love the combination of flavors.
This is one of the best lemon teas I have ever tasted. I have ordered it numerous times. I love that it has a hint of coconut in it as well.
Love the Lemon Chiffon Cuppa Cake especially after a meal, it's great as a dessert. Yum!
Yummy and nostalgic. Im pretty sure it's the same if not extremely similar to the birthday cake tea, which is why I bought it, cause I love that tea. The only thing… I need more lemon for the lemon chiffon. It's so yummy though, regardless.
I love this brand, and this is the first tea I've ever had even a small bit of negativity with. Out of the tin, it smells like butter, like butter cookies. Which makes sense. But when you drink it, there isn't much of a taste of lemon... It's a pleasant tea if you're looking for something that tastes like a cookie. But I was hoping for more lemon.
This is one of my absolute favorite teas that I have purchased from ROT. I add a little bit of honey and a splash of milk and it tastes just like a slice of lemon cake. A perfect after dinner treat
It doesn't really live up to the description. Not very much flavor at all. Too bad, because I was really looking forward to trying this one.
It's like a chiffon lemon cake
The Tea was very good
Perfect dessert tea!
Delicious and satisfying cup of cake in a tea!
I have been ordering this tea on order automatically for two years now it is the only one I re-order automatically. I love the lightness yet very flavorful. I make a pot every night and drink it hot and the rest over ice the next day.
This is like tasting a cake. Strong flavor, a bit too sweet for my taste.
I really like green rooibos as a non-caffeine alternative to my favorite green tea options for later in the day enjoyment. It's really hard to find green rooibos, so I was very excited to try this, and it did not disappoint! I love the combination of citrus with the green rooibos, with a hint of soothing lemon. It's an excellent combo and the perfect treat for mid-afternoon.
I really like this tea, even my cousin who normally drinks black tea, said that it was a really good mild tea to her. This tea has a wonderful flavor, the lemon is warm and the notes of the vanilla keep it from being bitter in anyway. It is a mild, warm tea with excellent flavor. I put about a teaspoon of powdered monk fruit in my teas, I tried some drops, but they gave my fruit and herbal teas a bitter taste. Note: my cousin likes to use liquid sweetener (Stevia) in her coffees, I also gave her the monk fruit drops to try.
Being on Weight Watchers, I am trying to eat less, especially in the evening. Having this Lemon Chiffon Cuppa Cake after dinner is like having dessert. It's delicious!
I really enjoy this tea. Light and lovely but still with enough substance to feel satisfied. One of my new favorites.
I'm usually not someone who enjoys coconut at all, but I tried this tea a few years back and loved it. I was given a bulk bag shortly after and I absolutely love this tea. It's a very gentle flavor but it's wonderful. It also smells heavenly.
The price was good.
This is my go-to tea after lunch when I need a pick-me-up but don't want the guilt of eating a dessert. The lemon aroma is heavenly. This is close enough to eating a cake without the extra calories.
This tea lacks pizzazz unless you double up the amount of tea bag vs. water. Smells good but fails to commit to flavor on the tongue.
I love relaxing after dinner with a cup of this tea. It's sweet but not overly so and refreshing and soothing. Between this and Nettle I can't choose a favorite night time tea, it just depends on my mood.
In my childhood, my mom baked Lemon Chiffon cake every Spring to welcome the season. This tea is a happy reminder of those days. It is delicious with vanilla cookies, pound cake, lemon squares, rice pudding, etc. I haven't yet made it iced, but I assume it would be delicious.
This is a light and tasty blend of flavors for those who don't or can't drink black tea. It goes well with a bit of milk and sweetener.
Like drinking a lemon pound cake!
I love this tea, and a friend who usually drinks black tea and does not like 'flavored' teas except plain vanilla also enjoyed it!
I wasn't sure if this tea was going to agree with me but it has been absolutely wonderful. I'm one of the few that I think still uses dry creamer simply because its easy to keep on hand. It works well with this tea. No extra flavor just adds a hint of body to it. Also I use the dry creamer so that my tea wont be cooled off with creamer from the fridge. A nice surprise. I might even try it cold, might.
Keeps my after-dinner cravings for dessert in check.
Like most of us, you have had the supermarket Zinger lemon tea. Let me tell you you, this is not a harsh lemon, it is smooth. Goes great with lemon Bundt cake for Sunday afternoon tea. Highly recommend this flavor. I like to try a new flavor with every order, I am yet to find a bad flavor, but of course, there are a few I will DEFINITELY always have in my cupboard, and this lemon tea is one of them.
I like both lemon and vanilla teas but, for some reason, together it just doesn't work for me.
I normally mix different blends of tea from Republic of Tea. I blend this one with the Good Hope Vanilla Red Tea. Sometimes I add Wil Blueberry as well. Mixing is super fun, and it creates a whole new tea.
I have tried many RoT products and have many favorites.I really wanted to like this tea since I love all things lemon. I'm not sure what flavor it was, but one of them made me smell and taste popcorn. I thought I was crazy, but my daughter agreed. I will just have to try a different lemon flavor to see if I can find one I like.
One of my favorite teas from ROT. It seems yummy and tastes the same. Natural taste of lemon, coconut and vanilla. It is just a great tea. I have ordered and tried over 40 ROT now. This one is on the "do not run out" list.
Makes great Ice tea as well as Hot cup of tea
Lemon Chiffon always reminds me of my Grandpa, who used to bring us lemon chiffon ice cream. We used to call it Lemon Phissawn. It gives me such a warm feeling every time I drink this wonderful tea.
These are my absolute favorites!!! I wish you had the limited edition Gingerbread tea all year round.
I have drank this tea everyday for years. My latest order tastes different and not flavorful.
The lemon cake flavoring with the green rooibos is divine. Light, the lemon with the rooibos is perfect and make sure you sweeten this tea as it brings out the flavors. I tasted my first cup and immediately ordered a refillðŸ˜
Sweet and tangy. Love it iced.
I was so excited to try this and then so disappointed when I did. I found this to have no lemon taste, in fact, there was no taste at all.
That's it, that's the best way I can describe it. It's such a delightful, pleasant little tea. I feel delicate just drinking it! Truthfully I'm a big indulgent sweet tooth but I can say this without a doubt is quite mild and light.... and I still just adore it! ?
I absolutely love this tea. Its now a staple in my home. Not too sweet but amazingly satisfying and does help curb the late night sweet snacking. Extremely satisfying flavor.
TRULY DELIGHTFUL!!!!!! Skip dessert and have this calorie free delight! I love this one a bit hot!!! I found my guilt-free pleasure!
This is the best tea ever ! Pairs well with a blueberry muffin !
My 2nd tin, OMG thank you, so delicious
Just ordered my 2nd tin. Highly enjoy the great taste and becoming one of my favorites
This was exactly what I wanted and expected. It's lemon sponge cake in a mug. Sweet lemon curd flavor with a creamy, vanilla finish. No sugar needed for me. Great for those trying not to eat sweets. This is a great sunstitute. I will be buying more.
Very yummy. Not over the top. Great hot or cold
This is probably the best tea I've purchased from Republic of Tea. It has a rich taste but isn't overly sweet. Also has a wonderful fragrance.
I adore lemon. Lemon cake is my favorite. So you had me at Lemon Chiffon Cuppa Cake. I am enjoying my first cup as I write and I am content. My only concern is that this tea will be seasonal (which I don't see right now - whew! ) and that it will disappear from my life.
This was not my cup of tea. The smell was absolutely delightful, but the taste, although not horrible, did not encourage me to drink the entire cup. But I gave the tin to my friend, and she said that it is now her (and her daughter's) new favorite tea. Even though there was no sweetener in it, the tea really did remind me of drinking a cupcake. I would have liked more citrus flavoring.
This is by far one of my most favorite teas. I drink this to satisfy my sweet cravings after dinner. It is like having a desert without the calories!
Love this tea. It's a desert in a cup. Love it after dinner.
This tea make you feel like you are cheating on a diet. So yummy and satisfying.
Loved the gentle energy of the flavor of the Lemon Chiffon Cuppa Cake.
This tea is like a cup of light dessert served in a sun room. I love most things lemon chiffon so had to try it. It did not disappoint but I do wish it had a stronger flavor. It is very light and does not pair with anything that might over power it.
Love the flavor of this tea
This is one of my favorite teas. If you like lemon cake (and green tea), I think you will enjoy this one. The flavor is very light, but the scent is distinct. I simply love it. Reminds me of childhood birthdays!
It has a balanced taster without either flavor overpowering the other , for me I'd like to taste a bit more lemon flavor
This tea is so yummy and I love it in the evenings as a treat. I don't add anything to it and I love the scent as I bring the cup up to take a sip. It's perfectly balanced with the hint of lemon and very smooth. One of my favorites.
My favorite for iced tea when weather is very hot... very refreshing and naturally sweet- I just add 1/4 teaspoon stevia for 1/2 gallon
I love lemon so I had to get this. When I opened it the smell was incredible! Just like a lemon cupcake!! It tasted just like a cupcake! I made coworkers smell it and they agreed. I gave them some to try.
This is the only tea that my grandchildren will drink. They ask for it at breakfast whenever they stay at my house and are disappointed if I run out! They aren't fond of it plain, they add honey every time.
This tea has quenched my dessert cravings. It tastes like lemon cake, really. The lemon and vanilla give the tea a sweet character. Ordered the tea the day after trying it. Anxiously waiting to receive my package.
I love this lemon chiffon. It has taken the place of one of my regular lemon teas.
I love this tea! Its my favorite! It is very mild yet flavorful! What I like is you can leave the tea bag in and it doesn't get bitter! I usually drink my tea with honey, but with Lemon Chiffon I don't have to use anything.
I have to say, I like the Celebrate with a cuppa cake tea better. Even though the descriptions are the same, the Celebrate has a more lemon vanilla cake flavor. The lemon chiffon isn't bad, I just prefer the other one.
This tea is good but is more of a butter lemon flavor than a lemon chiffon cake! I would call this a lemon short bread. I prefer it with stevia and occasionally with a splash of cream, but will have to try it iced!
I loved it the minute I opened the tin....smelled like dessert....I steeped it long enough but felt the flavor was a tiny bit weak. I guess I could have used two tea bags or maybe a little less water...I have to admit, this wasn't a normal tea cup size, but a mug I used...But I love the aroma and the flavor and I find I get more fluid into my body when I reach for this delicious tea. I'm not someone who remembers to drink water. But this tea I know I will drink daily.
Delicious. Like the name implies, it's like drinking a delicate little lemon cookie topped with powdered sugar in a cup. The tin full of bags even smells wonderful - like fruit loops - fruity and sweet. It's been a good summer substitute for the Ginger Bread team. I love these Cuppa Cakes!!
Holds its flavor beautifully cold. I drink a quart a day....no caffeine, no sugar, just a butter-lemon taste that refreshes. Come winter, it's just as lovely hot. An outstanding Republic of Tea blend!
Lovely light flavor, best in place of a dessert. The sweet vanilla "icing" flavor overpowers the lemon. Delicious but could use a bit more lemon zing.
I hate to leave a bad review (I love this company), but this tea was a huge disappointment. It smells of lemon, but the taste is very, very weak IMO. I felt as though I was drinking hot water. I unfortunately would not recommend this tea to anyone.
I really like this tea. It is peaceful and calming. To me, the flavor is a bit muted, but definitely there, with a buttery, soothing flavor. I highly recommend if you don't want an overpoweringly sugar-y experience.
I was honestly really surprised at how much this tastes like lemon poundcake. It even has a butteryness to it, which I don't even understand how is possible to create in a tea. The lemon is very present but not overwhelming. I will definitely be repurchasing after I finish. Perfect guilt-free dessert tea.
This tea is delightful and delicious! It does smell and taste like vanilla chiffon cake with lemon frosting and shredded coconut. It's amazing that ROT got these flavors into a tea! I love it, plus it's caffeine free and calorie free. The flavors are neither too weak nor too strong -- I find them just right, and it doesn't need anything added. A lovely dessert tea!
The first time I had a cup it has been my go to tea. I enjoy every cup ??
Most of the "Republic of Teas" I have tried were wonderful. This one, on the other hand, was not. I thought it would be a sweet, smooth tea. The lemon and "cake" flavors left an awful aftertaste.
I gave it 4 stars because I'd like it to be a little stronger. But all in all it's very nice. I also like it chilled with some lemoncillo. I could also imagine having this when feeling ill, with some whiskey and honey. I'll order again.
If you're in the mood for a little lemon sweetness without caffeine or calories......this is it!!' A light wonderful tea!!
I had lemon chiffon tea at an "afternoon tea" event last year and couldn't stop thinking about it. My friend surprised me with a gift of this for my birthday at the beginning of March. I can't get enough of this tea - it's so mild and tasty. Like a hot hug in a cup!
I like this tea but I am not sure if I would buy it again any time soon, on the fence with this one. It is more "chiffon" than lemon and I don't taste the coconut at all. I taste vanilla strongly. I added a teaspoon of lemon juice. I drank it straight down with the tsp of lemon juice. It's a very pleasant tea, but one I would tire of for awhile after a whole tin. Maybe I should KEEP a tin of it on the shelf though even after the full tin is gone because I do think this is one I will go back to, just not daily once I exhaust my cravings!! LOL does that make sense??
I admit that I became addicted after just one cup. I make it hot in the morning, but rarely have time to finish the cup, so I pour the rest over ice for the drive to work. I do let it steep a bit longer than with most teas, then add a little Splenda to bring out the full vanilla & lemon notes...so decadent & delicious.
Note I make this with a 5-6min brew time at 180F start steep temperature with a bit of sweetener. And it taste just like a a lemon bundt cake I used love as a kid with vanilla lemon icing. Since my celiac diagnoses and failing health is is one of my few indulgences and it is quite wonderful. Nice sweet lemon flavor with a hint of vanilla.
You really need to use several bags to taste anything lemon cake-like. Once you do, it is a nice cup with a sweet taste. I don't add anything but I won't buy this one again because of using so many bags to get proper flavor.
This is my favorite. I find it to be light and mild although it does keep me going. I love it, I don't know what more I could say about it. I have also purchased it by the bag, so you can see I love it, love it!
I had a get together this weekend and decided to let everyone taste this, and I have to say it went over really well in my home. The flavor was really nice and light, and smelled so good. I've been drinking a cup each morning since. I just had a teaspoon of honey and sugar to bring out the flavors.
I love vanilla, and I love lemon, can't go wrong with this tea. This tea is a little light for me, but smells very good. It leaves a light scent of cake "aftertaste" in your mouth as you drink it. I personally prefer the caramel cuppa cake tea as it is more strong in favor, but this is really good too. Great for someone looking for a light tea.
I was disappointed in this tea. I bought it after reading the reviews noting the vanilla flavor. Yes, there's a bit of vanilla and coconut, but the predominant flavor is lemon grass, reminding me more of Thai green curry than lemon chiffon cake. A better balance of flavors could retain a hint of lemon without screaming "lemon grass" which is a truly different flavor.
I am not normally a fan of rooibos, but I decided to try the sample of Lemon Chiffon green rooibos that I was sent. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a lovely desert tea with a subtle lemon taste. It really does remind me of lemon cake. I like this green rooibos much better than the red rooibos I've had before.
I don't get any lemon flavor from this tea at all. It has a nice flavor, and it sort of smells like a lemon cookie, but the flavor is profoundly vanilla. I bet if you put a slice of lemon in it, it would taste just right.
I tried the 1 sample I received in the mail and I was instantly hooked on this tea! That same day I ordered some plus a refill supply. To me, it is a delicate tea yet very flavorful. It tastes just like moist lemon cake with the creamy lemon filling. I like it plain just as it is. A pleasant surprise after a meal or for afternoon tea.
I loved the sample I received with the Catalog, much to my surprise because lemoney desserts are not my preference. This tea was light and "comforting" and especially good with ginger snap cookies (dipped..yum). The lemon is not sour but sweet and light.
I received a sample of this in this month's catalogue. I don't usually like lemon teas because I find them too tart, but this one was mild. I love red rooibos and had never had the green variety, but I think that the green rooibos is what gave this tea a tasty base. It was a bit weak, overall, but I think it's a perfect before bed cuppa.
I tried to like this tea, but it's too weak. There isn't much flavor. Doubling the number of tea bags and pouring it over ice actually makes the taste worse, not better. The tea is bearable hot, but I would not recommend iced.
This tea has a sweet lemony flavor as opposed to a tart one, and really is reminiscent of a lemon cake. (And it's sweet without a honey flavor, which while I like honey and lemon together, I associate too much with medicine.) Weirdly, I saw one reviewer who felt it was flavorless and preferred the "gingerbread cuppa cake" - while I really like the taste of this and thought the gingerbread had no flavor. Taste is a strange thing I guess. It would be nice if all the teas had samples available, but anyway, for me I don't regret buying the full size and I'm getting a refill today.
This is one of my favorite teas, and definitely my favorite of the "cake" teas (blueberry bundt, caramel cake). Tastes sweet and lemony, and health wise. I love the green rooibos.
This tea is so delicious and perfect for dessert, or when I am craving something sweet. I love this tea on its own with nothing in it. Like others have said, it does have a very light flavor to it. To me it tastes like sweet creamy lemon. I find that if you want a more intense flavor from this tea adding a bit of sweetener and milk or cream to it really brings out the flavor beautifully.
I am a huge fan of Republic of Tea. Their service and variety are top notch. So know that this comment is specific to this particular flavor. It falls flat. There is nothing distinguishing about it at all. It isn't awful, it's just OK. Shrug. I expected to really taste and feel the lemon, and I was disappointed. If you want a delicious Cuppa Cake variety, go with Caramel Vanilla. That one is wonderful and flavorful, and I highly recommend it. I can't recommend this one.
I order a lot of tea from RoT, but this one was a miss for me. I'm surprised at all the positive reviews. This tea is almost flavorless, even when doubling up on tea bags. Squeezing a sliver of lemon into water would result in way more flavor than brewing this tea does. I very much wish the Ginger Bread Cuppa Cake tea would return, as I liked that a lot, and it had a lot of flavor.
I drink a lot of tea, but my daily routine is to end the day with a cuppa and this has quickly become an absolute favorite. Sweet, fragrant and yummy without the calories associated with the dessert. I do let it steep for a couple minutes to make sure the lemon flavor is stronger. LOVE!!
I am a HUGE fan of lemon pastries, be it lemon cake with lemon icing or those lemon creme sandwich cookies. This tea, with it's blend of lemon, vanilla, and coconut (with the help of a spoonful of Truvia) tastes just like those cookies, but without the calories. I also like that it's caffeine-free, so I can enjoy it in place of dessert after dinner without worrying that it will keep me up all night. After my first purchase, I immediately bought a refill pack as I'm going through it like crazy, especially with this early cold weather snap we're having.
The tea is a bit too weak for me.Very mild flavor. Vanilla stands out the most. I think it would rock as a flavored black tea. If it was Fair Trade, even better.
Mmmmm....this tea is so delicious. It reminds me of my favorite dessert of lemon bars.
Amazing lemon flavor. Very smooth and tastes like lemon meringue pie. A great dessert tea. Not tart like typical lemon teas. This is one of my favorites.
This is a lovely tea (and I'm re-ordering), but for me it's not lemony - it evokes popcorn! I have it in the afternoon/evening as more of a savory option, and follow it up with my favorite Strawberry Chocolate tea for sweet.
Amazing! How did you do it? This is the most outstanding tea ever. Love it!
Sometimes I get a craving for lemon bundt cake and this will satisfy my taste buds. I prefer to drink this hot with vanilla or sweet creamer!
This tea evokes lemon bars, coconut cake, yellow cake, even cheesecake. Really tasty and appropriate for a dessert tea or a morning tea. My only qualm is that the overall flavor is very light - I wish it were a bit stronger. I'll try brewing with only 6oz of water next time.
This tea has a lovely lemon flavor and smells delicious! One evening after dinner as I was making myself a cup my 11 year old daughter caught a whiff and asked if I would make her a cup to try. She takes her tea with a bit of honey and a dash of cream - one sip and she was hooked. She now asks for a cup almost every night!
Another amazing tea! You can absolutely believe you're tasting lemon buttercream frosting! The vanilla notes are too strong for my personal taste -- I prefer to get walloped with my lemon, and I'm not a vanilla fan. But that doesn't alter the fact that this tea is a delightful surprise.
This has become my all-time favorite lemon tea! It has such a lovely flavor of lemon with a hint of coconut. The taste is just perfect and doesn't need any sweetener at all. It's a great tea if you need a bit of a mood booster!
I drink A LOT of tea. Mostly I prefer it iced but I drink it hot from time to time. This tea is delectable either way. Might be my favorite of all time
Lemon teas are often too bitter and strong for me. This has a nice and light lemon flavor. I don't taste any coconut, but my guess is that it's the coconut sweetness that mellows out the lemon bite.
I was very impressed with this tea. I was honestly expecting a very light vanilla and lemon flavor, but I got more than I bargained for. Definitely a new favorite, and I will certainly be back for more! Since this was the first time I have ordered from Republic of Tea, I am impressed with the quality. I also ordered the caramel vanilla flavor as well, which was equally tasty.
It's okay, though I think it should be called coconut creme pie or something. I don't taste lemon at all=(
Lush, lemony, and cake-like.
This herbal tea really tastes like cake (how do they do that?). I love that the aroma and flavor notes stay the same through the brewing time and the entire time of drinking. If my cup or bag sits for awhile, the aroma is still that of a lovely piece of cake.
This tea is my new favorite. I received it for a gift this weekend and have already ordered refills. It's like a lemony dessert in a cup - no sweetener needed. So delicious!!!! I love that it's decaf because I'm a nighttime tea drinker. Hoping this flavor never disappears.
This tea is the best I've ever had and my new obession. The lemon is a light flavor and reminds me of what a lemon pie would smell like. I appreciate the lightness of this tea and wouldn't change a thing.
My first step is to open the container and savor the lush aroma of this lovely tea. Immediately, I am transported back to my childhood and the aroma of birthday cakes baking in the kitchen. Actually drinking this lovely tea is equally pleasurable. This has definitely become one of my most treasured teas.
I was in the market for a non-caffeinated tea that i could sip in the evening. But i also wanted a yummy tea. This really is exactly what i was looking for. You get sweet lemon, not sour lemon. Hints of vanilla and coconut. It really tastes like cake, especially when you add a little cream and sugar. So delicious!
The light lemon paired with sweet coconut is a winning combination. I think I detect a touch of vanilla too, which adds to the delightfulness. I never thought green rooibos could taste this good!
Lemon with a hint of zing.
Very yummy lemon cake flavor with a very mild cocnut flavor. I love the taste, but i feel that the tea itself was pretty weak. i've had to use 2 tea bags at a time to get the robust flavor i was looking for. Otherwise it's perfect!!
A divine dessert tea that combines my two most favorite pairings--lemon and coconut. No added sweetener needed as this tea is perfect as is...just a bit of milk and it is heaven without the calories! Yummy, yummy goodness!!!
Good, but I expected a bit more lemon flavor. I enjoy it hot or cold with a squeeze of lemon.
This was better than I thought it was going to be! Tastes like cake! Mmmm!
I would like to preface this with the fact that I am not a big fan of rooibos teas. However, this tea is wonderful. It has a great, mild taste of lemon and coconut. I really enjoy it and will buy it again. If you like these flavors you should consider purchasing this tea.
Very nice blend, I could taste vanilla and lemon cake. I add some almond milk and a bit of honey, it was heaven.
This is a very soothing tea. I most enjoy this in the evening after dinner with a shortbread cookie. It needs minimal to no sweetening in my opinion. You can definitely detect vanilla notes although I think it needs a little more lemon in it. A very good tea.
