I can drink it plain or with a splash of Italian Sweet Cream creamer, which enhances the flavors in the tea. After trying it, I purchased two more so I don't run out.
This shopper rated the product 3 out of 5 stars I'm usually a fan of all things cardamom, but this one was not for me. While the cardamom flavor does come through, the tea, overall, is a bit lackluster. I will return to my usual Cardamon Cinnamon because it never disappoints.

Certainly in the winter months, it's my morning cuppa, alternating with one of the Earl Grey's (vanilla, orange, lemon, or whiskey) or a Scottish breakfast tea. My 3 sisters, a brother and my Mom always gather for a Christmas Tea party and I bring a selection of ROT teas. This one is always the favorite and we reserve the biggest teapot to brew this one in. I drink it with only a splash of coconut milk which adds a tiny bit of sweetness and creaminess to highlight the unique flavors of caramel, vanilla and subtle cardamom. The cardamom is quite medicinal as well (look up all its benefits, they are numerous!) so big win on both flavor and using food as medicine. Well done ROT!

I wasn't sure if it would translate well as a tea. I am so happy to say, I was wrong. This tea is one of my favorites. It is lightly creamy tasting, and has a nice balance of flavor between the cardamom and creme brulee aspects. You can really taste both flavors without either being overwhelming. If you want a cozy tea, like cardamom and want something that is equally good plain, iced or with a little dash of (oat) creamer this is one of your best bets.

I love it's subtle flavor that is unlike anything else. The two together are magical. Not too strong but robust enough to add cream and sugar for a lovely dessert drink, or a coffee replacement. I agree with others that a tin for it would be lovely. I plan to drink this tea a lot.

I expected this tea to be somewhat sweet and spicy, maybe a bit creamy from the vanilla flavor. However, instead it almost tastes like…well, not much. Maybe watered down marshmallow in tea? It is a very strange flavor, doesn't taste like real ingredients were used. This is a difficult one to really put my finger on.

I wish this tea came in its own cylindrical container, at least for a buyer's initial purchase. All I ever see is the option to buy the refill bag but no pretty container to stick the refills inside of.

The downside of those characteristics is that not all of their teas will work for everyone. I was intrigued by this flavor and had to try it. Unfortunately the cardamom came off very medicinal and drowned out all the other flavors. I'll try mixing it with some other teas (maybe a chai?) but on it's own it didn't work for me.

Similarly, I found milk only took away from the tea flavor. There is a very light cardamom after taste, but the tea itself is vanilla forward perhaps inspired by crème brûlée but not explicitly tasting like it. That said, as a vanilla black tea, it is excellent, and I'd happily consider it in the future.

This was a very good intro to the excellent teas that they sell. In my opinion, Creme Brulee has a lighter flavor than Mrs. Patmore's pudding tea. I thought they would taste almost exactly the same (which would've been ok!) but they taste different enough I would buy each one separately again. Creme Brulee is my favorite food dessert but it's rich so I only have it a few times a year. This tea, however, is light enough I can have it everyday if I want to (and probably will!). Strangely, I do not like chocolate food but I love the carob bits in Mrs. Patmore's pudding tea it just adds something. So Mrs. Patmore's pudding tea is the winner for me at this time in my life but not by much. I find that I prefer certain tea flavors at different points in my life so it could change. Overall, both of these teas are absolutely delicious. I'm so happy I was told about Republic of Tea but other tea enthusiasts. I very much appreciate the samples- they happened to be exactly what I was looking at purchasing next oddly enough. The blueberry because a friend's told me to try it and get well immunity and elderberry since I have an autoimmune disease. I'm my experience, herbs help a lot. Ginger and tumeric bring down inflammation and just the ritual of preparing and drinking tea is good for the nerves. Excited to purchase more.

If it came in a Rooibos version, I would drink it all the time… it's *that* amazing! Normally I add milk to my black tea, but this is amazing even without it! I try to only have non-caffinated teas at night, but conveniently keep forgetting this is not a red tea. It is such a delectable dessert tea that I can't resist it. Anyway, I tried it one day... and it was the most delicious cup of tea I had had probably ever. The aroma is sweet and rich, and the taste is smooth, warm and indulgent, while the cardamom adds a surprising snd refreshing note of brightness. So I came to TRoT to explore and I'm afraid I'm hooked!

Since the only tin it comes in is the Sip and Be Merry holiday tin, I get one every year as soon as it's available. It smells wonderful, and tastes of high quality black tea, caramel, vanilla, and cardamom. I love the strong scent of cardamom when I open the tin, and when I smell the tea bag before putting it in the cup! And so delicious. I tried the Caramel Vanilla Cuppa Cake Tea once, and it tasted exactly like this tea minus the cardamom, so that gives you an idea what it's like. An absolute treat. Lovely cuppa!

The only thing I find wrong with this tea is that it does not come in a tin like most of the other teas. I have arthritis really bad in my hands and the packaging is very hard for me to open. I can't even smell cardamom in the dry tea bags, and that was the only reason I purchased it. So if you're looking for a tea that actually has the taste of cardamom, this is not the one.

This shopper rated the product 2 out of 5 stars While this is a lovely tea, tasting very creme brulee-ish with notes of caramel and vanilla, the taste of cardamom is nowhere to be found. I smelled the wet teabag after use and could smell some cardamom, so I know it's in there. The ingredients list "cardamom seeds" which are best simmered for about 15 minutes to extract flavor. I now understand that pairing cardamom seeds with black tea, which can only steep a limited amount of time for best flavor, just doesn't make sense. I bought the tea because I love the idea of cardamom creme brulee so I was greatly disappointed. It is a good creme brulee tea, just not cardamom creme brulee.
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars I'm more of a coffee person than a black tea person, but if I drink coffee in the afternoon it keeps me up, so I've taken to trying different black teas. This is definitely my favorite for most circumstances. It has a nice warm sort of flavor with just a really subtle touch of sweetness. I don't need to add any sugar for my taste with this tea (just splash of cream), whereas most of the "caramel cake" type teas that I've tried are *too* sweet. This is perfect. So glad it's back.

All the flavors are perfectly blended -- it does taste like creme brulee, and yet it's not overly sweet. Perfect with a splash of soy milk and a little sugar.

I was rationing my tea bags because I thought it would only be around for a short amount of time. Thank you for bringing it back so I can drink it all the time!
