Good but kind of weak in flavor, seems to be a common theme with my purchases
I was expecting something more punchy - more of a ginger and lemongrass flavor/experience, and find this tea very mild in flavor against those expectations. I do, however, enjoy the tea and will continue to enjoy each cup. I'm not sure I'd repeat this purchase but we'll see - I'm only 3 cups in so far and sometimes a tea grows on me cup by cup.
Best Tea ever!
Very light flavor with a ginger zing. It’s pretty good. I’m used to stronger teas but this one is kind of refreshing.
I have purchased Thai Ginger Tea twice now. I have tried other ginger teas and this tea helps with my digestion and equilibrium issues the best. I like the flavor of the Thai ginger better than other ginger teas as well.
I like this tea, but I thought it would be 'spicier'.
Love the spice flavor. Ginger.
New flavor to the tea wheel . . . not quite ginger, but a flavor of its own.
The flavor of this tea is not in my top five. The ginger isn't in the forefront. The lemongrass is. I'm sure it is a well loved tea, but I was hoping for more flavor.
This ginger tea is so mild that if you didn’t know you were drinking ginger tea, you would not guess that’s what it is. I love ROT and I buy way too many of their teas. I’m rarely disappointed but this one is very disappointing. I had bought it before but forgot how much I didn’t like it so I ordered it again. I’m writing this review so I don’t make the same mistake.
Lovely tea. If your tummy is upset, this is the tea for you.
The ginger tastes yummy. It's a nice, warm, lightly spiced tea. Would recommend.
This tea has a floral aftertaste that some would like. I'm not a big fan but I am glad I tried it. I drink it at night since there's no caffeine. The ginger taste is not strong.
Just enough spicy zest to be warming but not overwhelming. Pairs well with a touch of honey and a thin slice of lemon! It does occasionally give me a slight bitterness on its own.
I've cooked with Thai ginger before and loved the flavor, but I found this tea to be a very different taste. I liked but didn't love it. I found the taste very subtle and more floral than expected. Still I'm glad I tried it, and I enjoy it when I want something soothing and soft that's unique from my normal ginger teas.
I start every day with this tea to maximize digestion all day. Taste is perfect, too.
This is an interesting tea. I enjoy a cup most afternoons. It's soothing and provides some often much needed moments of quiet.
This is a wonderful tea! Full of flavor and excellent ingredients, try it if you like ginger!
It was a little too mild but that’s ok because I made ice cubes with it . Great in G & T
I start each day with this tea. The stomach, the receiver of food, has to cook what it receives. Ginger warms the soup pot, making digestion more efficient. I add crushed ginger to enhance the effect.
I really like this tea! It has a nice, smooth texture and isn't as strong as some ginger teas. It might just be my new favorite nighttime tea!
I like this a lot. I prefer a bit stronger flavor so in that case recommend 2 bags for a large cup.
One of a favorites, we keep it on autoship. Soothing robust flavor, are go to tea we we can't decide which flavor we are wanting.
I have been trying to find a ginger tea that is gentle enough it doesn't burn my stomach, yet still helps with nausea. This is by far the best tea I have found. It's now a constant in my tea cupboard.
It's drinkable but the lack ginger flavor really makes it kind of boring. The smell is so pungent that I really expected a lot more spice. Will probably be giving it to a friend
I like the mild flavor and benefits of ginger. Not a strong tea, mild.
Perfect all on its own to smooth sore throats or need for a pick me up in the doldrums of wintertime
I really love ginger, and there wasn't a lot of it in this. The honey flavor is nice, I didn't really notice the lemongrass either.
Look elsewhere if you prefer a spicier ginger flavor. The honey overpowers the lemongrass & honey. Its a fine tea but not what I expected
I wish this tea had a more robust ginger flavor. I use 2 teabags to amp up the flavor in my cup. Extra teabags make a nice pitcher of ginger iced tea. Finally, a good food idea is to toss 2 teabags into cooking water for rice or quinoa. Infuse the cooking water then add rice, quinoa or small pasta for a uniquely flavored side dish.
This Thai Ginger tea has a superb clean taste and you feel wonderfully alive after drinking a cup. Just fabulous!
I tried this when the biodynamic ginger tea was out of stock, but it was very bland. The top note is the honey powder, and I don't care for that flavor.
This is a new tea to me and it is now one if my most favorites! Not too strong flavor. Just great!
This is a gorgeous, beautifully balanced cup of tea. The scent is delightful, not strong but haunting, with wafts of galangal, lemongrass, and hints of honey taking turns enticing one to sip. This is not a wake-you-up multitasking morning type of tea, but more a lazy afternoon on the porch contemplative beverage. It definitely has a place in my world.
This is another Ginger Favorite. I really enjoy this ginger tea.
I ordered this because I love ginger, but it's not my favorite. I prefer the Orange Ginger Mint tea over this.
I'm not a big fan of ginger tea, but I drink it to keep my tummy calm. I've tried three ginger teas from The Republic and love them all. And planning to try the others, as well.
I love ginger, so this is a great addition to other teas or just on it's own. Love it for when I eat too much or just have a sore belly.
This is my fav evening tea. Flavors are crisp and the ginger flavor just right.
This tea is not tightly ginger flavored, but the lemongrass gives it the most amazing undertone, and it just makes me to happy that I am drinking it all day long. It smells divine, and tastes almost as good. My new favorite.
Mild, but good and one of my recent go to teas. I love the slight spice and ginger aroma. Great to help with tummy upsets.
I drink this tea most evenings with or after dinner. It does have a mellow flavor and is a bit unusual but I find its mellowness pleasing.
This is a lovely tea alone or in combination with others. I like to add it to Chamomile or with the Cardamom cinnamon tea. It is also good with your Get Protected tea and any of your Chai blends.. Ah so many good teas!! 😊
I ordered this tea based on reviews and because I love ginger. This tea is delicious and has become one of my favorites. I already ordered a second tin. I enjoy adding a bit of honey. The warming spice of the ginger is perfect and deliciously worthy of enjoying it sip by sip.
This is a nice tea. I often mix it with a bag of Biodynamic Ginger to make a more gingery pot. But still good.
A great after dinner tea
I love ginger. I love eating it (candied or savory) and I love drinking ginger tea. Something about this tea did not taste pleasant to me - perhaps the honey, perhaps the lemongrass. The ginger itself was delicate not as spicy as I like. I will try it iced and see if I like it better.
I have been using Galangal root for gout inflammatory for more than a year. Now I add two or three bags of this tea with green tea for iced tea. The proof is no more narcotic pain medication. I have been drinking green tea for 10 years. However, this galangal tea is the natural remedy.
This teais even better than boiling fresh ginger.
Besides the incredible taste, at the first sign of cold or sore throat, I dtink this tea to add the perfect amount of heat.
I really enjoy this tea and it smells so good. In the morning for work, I make a 2 tea cup size thermos with 2 tea bags and a teacup size travel mug for the day. I have hot tea all day and don't have to run to the kitchen to make tea. I had a stuffy nose one day and helped loosen it up. Everyone love the smell when I open my thermos.
It's hard to find fresh organic Thai Ginger, sometimes I can purchase it from Hawaii, which is costly. Usually I would make my own tea from fresh galangal, then I saw that The Republic of Tea sold a Thai Ginger tea. The flavor is slightly sweet with soothing benefits. Often I steep it longer than suggested as I want that strong ginger taste.
It's not like regular ginger, a bit stronger. I add it to most of all my plain teas, black, oolong & green, if I want more of spicy tea.
This tea has a mor3 "delicate" flavor than most ginger teas, but is quite refreshing consumed cold on a hot day. Living in South Texas, this will be one of my go-to teas during the summer.
I've tried several ginger teas, but this is the best. It's subtle and smooth and has become my favorite!
