The clove overpowers all other spices. I am disappointed because I have loved all the other R of T kinds I have tried, but not this one. There is a Republic chai with orange in it. I've always hoped to find something similar in teabag form, and this is one of the closest I've experienced (I prefer the bold green chai by a smidge). Unlike many competitors, this has a fair amount of cardamom that's not overpowered by cloves and pepper. I like it with steamed milk, no sweetener needed (caveat: if Oregon Chai or Starbucks' chai is your idea of chai, you probably will want to add some sweetener).

For a flavorful Chai tea, I will go to Starbucks and endure the overly sweet syrup used to make their chai tea (the taste comes from the syrup not the tea (I think this is not authentic Chai, but it is seriously tasty and comforting). This review might seem to contradict itself so the bottom line is that I do like this for what it is - mild chai tea.

I have a mini milk frothing machine and add frothed half and half cream to half a cup of chai that was steeped for 5 minutes. It makes a great cup of tea for my teatime in the afternoons.

I tend to make a warm cup each time, even though I love iced Chai too. I just can't resist the warm cup. I always a add splash of cream. I have a Chai syrup to sweeten it and gives it a little extra spice to make it perfect for me. I still enjoy this tea and it does make a lovely cup of chai.

It has the freshest Chai spices that I ever had. It is the freshest tasting Chai tea that I've ever had. The spice flavoring is what makes this tea stand out above other Chai teas, you may have had elsewhere. The Republic of Tea makes the best! I will keep buying this tea as long as it's available.

I tried doubling up on tea bags, it didn't help. If you don't know what chai should taste like and you prefer weak beverages, this could be the one for you. I ended up leaving my canister in the staff room at work for someone to try. Two pots for overall quality of product and elephants.

There are no weird flavors in it and you can taste the spices. I always add extra cinnamon to mine, but I don't think it's needed if you don't like extra cinnamon.

I like to bring tea bags when I travel but until now, no chai blend has met my specifications so I tend to bring Assam bags and drink that on the road. Until this new formulation. This chai bag is (in my opinion) a perfect blend. Highly recommend it!!

Some teas resist releasing sufficient flavor in milk because of the casein but this tea readily infuses into the milk. The result is a rich, satisfying brew that is especially pleasant in the evening.

This Chai is has a natural sweetness and nice Chai flavor without all that sugar. I have a milk froth maker that I put on top of tea. I SPRINKLE ((a little))fancy sugar and cinnamon on top. Sometimes add a cinnamon stick. That's a perfect Chai to me.
