Usually berry teas are faint in flavor and I wouldn't drink them a lot. This does have a faint berry flavor but I do enjoy it after drinking it a few times. If you don't mind faint flavors, this is a good one for both flavor and benefits. If I don't drink this tea, I do notice that my digestive system isn't as consistent. I personally like this tea hot and cold. I am happy drinking this by itself but sometimes I add tea bag of Milk Thistle (Republic of Tea brand) along with it. Adding the milk thistle tea bag doesn't change the flavor of this tea but I also make a big batch of this at once. I usually put 3 Aronia Elderberry Rooibos tea bags with 1 Milk Thistle tea bag in 3 cups of liquid. The container recommends 6 oz opposed to 8 oz (1 cup), but I don't mind the flavor a little weaker. This is a tea I really enjoy drinking daily. I really wish refills were an option for this particular tea when ordering!

My other favorites are the hibiscus blends with coconut, strawberry, raspberry rose, and pineapple lychee which I love for summer. This elderberry has the flavor profile that really matches my taste. This one works for every season. I can taste the plum in it, too. Try to get a tea sampler of this if you are not too sure.

I like that there are health benefits with this tea, especially in December, during cold season. The smell is very nice, a bit fruity but not overpowering. The color is a reddish purple and the taste is very nice. I also appreciate that it has probiotics, too!

There is just enough tart and spicey enough to drink hot or cold. I can't tell there is anything fermented.
