It’s not nearly as sweet as a chai latte from a coffee shop and I think it’s actually better a little less sweet. Better than the chai concentrate from the grocery store by a long shot. Very easy to make. Mostly I got this for my kid that’s always wanting to share my tea so she could make it without help. I still very much prefer brewing tea to make my tea lattes but this is a very good quick and easy alternative.

Personally, I like a lighter chai, so I use 1 tablespoon for 16 oz, which gives me the balance I prefer. I mix it with Fairfield 2% milk, giving me a latte with 23g of protein and 20g of sugar. It tastes great both hot and cold, though I usually make it cold. Highly recommend! You can often find it for around $10 at World Market if you’re lucky enough to have one nearby.

Today, my holistic doc said she wanted me to start drinking chai daily for its herbs and spices, including cardamom (which I dislike), that help menopausal anxiety issues I’ve been battling for months. However, the ingredient ratios are not at all the same between the bottle and the jug. Unlike the jug, the bottle of concentrate has black pepper as its first listed spice, and boy, does it come through. Unfortunately, I want more of the other spices way more, and the kick of black pepper comes across so much that I can't simply add more concentrate without making essentially black pepper tea. I'm so disappointed. This would've been the perfect smaller size of the already-perfect RoT chai concentrate, yet for an unknown reason, the recipe of this same-named product is totally different between the two vessels. I will not be ordering this again.

The other chai I have purchased from my grocery store is around $4 so for $10 more I was hoping this would taste better but it sadly doesn't. This concentrate to me makes scented milk. I didn't want to pour in more than 3 tablespoons in one 8oz cup of milk, my first time making it; so I didn't and there was literally no flavor.

We tried making it so many different ways but found the clove flavor so overpowering in every way that it didn't taste like chia to us. This is the first product we have purchased with any disappointment. We love many of the Republic of teas and have purchased them often for years. I would not recommend this one unless you love a very strong clove flavor. We found it undrinkable and threw it away.

I have been enjoying your Republic Red Chai tea for several years along with your other Chai teas. I am able to make delicious teas and lattes on my own. I had high hopes for the concentrate but I found it bland, weak and disappointing. I had to use 4 tablespoons in one large mug and it was still weak and flavorless. I found the clove taste overwhelming the other hard to find flavors. I cannot recommend this or purchase it again.

But I've made chai at home before with half milk, half chai, so I thought it might be ok. I freaking love this stuff!!! It's pre-sweetened so I don't have to waste time trying to add more sugar and all that, and it's not too sweet either. Super quick and easy to make, 1 cup vanilla soy milk and 1Tbs chai, 5sec stir with my milk frother and I'm good to go. I bought two of these and went ahead and got the large half gallon version because it's better cost and I'm sure I can go through that much in 90 days. Give it a shot, it's superb!

Now I must admit that I hesitated to buy it at first as I thought... I have plenty of tablespoons. But... then I thought... how cool to have a tablespoon specially designed for ROT's Chai and so I ordered it and I'm glad I did. Call me eccentric (and actually I really am), but, to me, there is something so special about having a specially made tablespoon for Chai. I made the first batch according to the recipe, but with gluten free flour. The second batch I made with regular all purpose flour and doubled the Tablespoon Chai and left out the vanilla. Both batches were delicious!

When I got it I tried it in almond milk and I was blown away! I actually like it in 8oz (instructions say 7oz. It's good in 7oz, but since I think it works in 8oz I prefer it that way to get a few extra sips 😅). I bought a little milk frother & voila! Perfect chai latte at home! It's a perfect warm morning drink or a treat in the afternoon to keep me away from the sweets. I definitely prefer the flavor in whole milk (more indulgent), but it's tasty in almond milk as well.

Sadly no flavor what so ever. Tried another cup with 2 T added still very little chai flavor. The aroma was there but not the taste.
