Respectable. Darjeeling is my favorite black tea by far and the First Flush Darjeelings are totally worth it. That said, I think 2019 is still my favorite and I will keep chasing that experience again every year
I recently purchased the 2025 First Flush Darjeeling Black Leaf Tea. I have made several pots of the tea, it is delicious and is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I will definitely purchase again!
I love Darjeeling, and this is an excellent first flush. I plan to order more to stock up.
Really interesting flavor that lands between black and green tea. Very comforting
My First Flush experience was by enjoying a family member's Mother's Day gift. I have tasted Darjeeling tea before. I enjoy it and yet First Flush is a step above. I felt a bit spoiled by the tea party atmosphere, but after 4 delightful cups of this refreshingly light yet fragrant tea, I now want to feel spoiled on a much more regular basis, by adding it to my personal tea closet. This tea and it's tin make a beautiful and highly prized gift.
I buy the first flush every year. Haven't been disappointed yet.
I look forward to the First Flush every year. It's this strange mix of a black and green. It has depth....but is so light and floral.
I have been buying the first flush teas for years. Last year's was a little disappointing, the year before amazing. I would put this one as very good. It is light without bitterness, grassiness, or sour fermented taste (hello 2022). It has a lingering light sweetness that's very pleasant.
I liked the second flush so I thought id try the first. I don't understand the hype. It's good but it tastes like an average nutty green tea. It has no distinguishing flavor like the second flush does. I'm more of a green tea person so I'll drink it and I'm not disappointed for trying it but I don't think it's worth the hype or the price.
When brewed at 195 degrees for 3 minutes, I found this tea to be a bit bitter with a very long aftertaste. So I tried 180 degrees for 3 minutes and it was much better. In sum, the aroma is pleasant and complex. The taste is best when sipped very warm, but not hot. An interesting tea experience. Definitely worth trying!
