There is a very slight vanilla undertone. Overall a great tea. Bonus: decaf version.

Since I drink less caffeine these days, I'm really pleased that the decaf version is available. Even the tin is exceptionally beautiful.

I have tried probably around 20 of their flavors, and this is in my top 2 or 3 favorite. Especially for a decaf, this tea is a must-buy for me. I tend to have a rotating collection of flavors because I like variety, but this is one that will probably be permanently in stock on my shelf. The orange comes through so perfectly. It’s more of a candied orange flavor, rather than orange oil flavor, though it isn’t sweet. The orange is beautifully balanced with the earl grey. Such a win! If you’re remotely interested in this one, I strongly recommend prioritizing it in your buy list.

On my last order I bought 4. I love drinking it iced with a little Stevia. It tastes like I’m indulging in a cream soda without all the calories and fizz. Absolutely one of my favorites! Hope Republic of Tea keeps it around for a while.

The citrus and tea blend is a great wake-up flavor, but also a pick-me-up any time of day. And now that it comes in decaf, I can drink it anytime. If I could change anything, I'd make the orange flavor a bit stronger, but it's a lovely tea that I'll keep buying!

That being said, the flavor is weak. The teabags look underfilled compared to my other Republic of Tea teabags, which might explain the weak flavor. 5 stars for the concept. 3 stars for the flavor. I will happily change my rating to 5 stars if the flavor is improved to be the proper strength.

The orange does add sweetness, so my first cup didn't work out. That was because, although I drink all other tea plain, I always add sugar and milk to my Earl Grey. This Earl Grey Orange tea doesn't need sugar, however, so that first cup was too sweet for me. Since then, I've just added 3 T of milk to my 8 oz of tea, and it's perfect! I'll be a repeat buyer of this, for sure.
