The Grantham Farewell Cup Black Tea
A lot going on here. Some vanilla, some floral, a hint of orange. Its good, its just a lot.
It says it's a black tea, but its color looks like a green. It's far fruiter than any black tea we've ever had, and because it's so fruity, you can't taste the black tea, so we won't order this one again.
An unexpected surprise, becuse it is an herbal blend with a touch of black tea. Really tasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My very picky husband's favorite tea! The little extra fruit notes are lovely.
This is one of my favorite teas. I can hardly believe it contains caffeine as it is so light in color, but I can feel the tannin. The only thing that would make it better for me would be if it was produced as decaf so I could enjoy it in the evening.
Lovely complex tea that is great to slowly sip on a chilly afternoon
Wonderful flavor, a true blend of flavor, nothing over powering. A treat after a long day.
Was sent as a sample & will purchase with my next order. Black tea notes are smooth & pair well with the lemon & cucumber.
Received this one as a sample. Does not taste like a black tea to me. Enjoyed the fruity smell when opening the can. A good and smooth tea that is not bitter at all.
Interesting blend, not my favorite, but not the worst either.
Got as a sample with my order, now my favorite tea!
This was a bit more complex than I thought. You can taste the citrus but the licorice also comes through. Don't hate it, but won't buy again.
I had to buy a whole container since my husband loved this tea so much. The combination of all the ingredients smelled so delightful that he wanted more!
I bought 5 different teasn ,me n my daughter's sat n had them n then let me taste hers n mine they where very delicious
I got this as a free sample and was prepared not to like it because of the licorice root. I was surprised to find I couldn't taste the licorice flavor and the lemon and spearmint, which I thought would be odd together, complimented each other nicely. Overall I probably won't buy it, but I did like it better than I anticipated
This tea tastes like something you'd enjoy outside. Delicious, citrusy and refreshing, it I'm really only getting lemon.
It’s a refreshing cup of tea. There’s definitely a lot going on, with regard to the flavors, but it works for me. If you’re looking for a dark, bold tea, this isn’t the one. If you’re looking for a complex flavor profile in a lighter tea, it’s definitely worth a try.
Great tea to get your day started!
I was not a fan. I am not even sure how to describe the flavor but it was not at all what I was expecting
Wonderful tea and full of flavor!
A very complex of flavors tea,-glad to sample it, will buy more for people who ‘need’ a caffeinated tea !
Really good tea. Great flavor!
Excellent cup of tea. Lemony with spice from the ginger but not overpowering. I don’t taste any cucumber but that’s ok as I don’t think it would go well with the ginger. I bet this would nice as well.
I was a little discouraged by the title of this tea. Bidding of farewell seemed a little ominous. That said that tea was delicious and I would recommend it to anyone just for something to sit and relax with.
Dislike very much! Definately not a tea I will drink nor purchase again!
This tea is delicious. HOWEVER - only three stars because although The Grantham Farewell Cup is stated as being a black tea, it looks, tastes, and smells like a green tea. Fortunately I enjoy pretty much any and every tea (black, green, herbal, tisane, etc.) so I was not too disappointed. But to my perception it is not a black tea.
I tried three of the teas two black teeth and one herbal. It is the least good tea I've ever had from Republic of tea which I usually absolutely adore. Unfortunately these three are pretty mediocre
I bought this while watching an actor review of the upcoming Downton Abbey movie. They kept showing pictures of the containers and I recognized them, having bought the tea previously. I placed my order before the show was over. I loved Dame Smith. I always love the tea.
I received this as a sample with my last order and it is delicious. This unique and flavorful blend is perfect for breakfast.
I bought this for a gift for my MIL as she is a big tea lover and Downton Abbey fan. I did not get one for myself because it was a black tea. I was hoping it would be herbal.
I like the flavor of the tea, it's not bitter like some teas can be. I like that the tims keep the tea fresh. I will be buying more flavors.
My daughters and I love out Downton Abbey The Grantham Farewell Cup and the sample. All orders received. Thank you!
The flavors aren't bad, but the mix of them together is a little strange. Having a strong hibiscus and cucumber flavor sitting on top of a black tea base was not something I have had before, and I'm not sure it works. The fruity notes on top also add to the confusion. It probably works better iced than it does hot.
I received this as a sample and wasn't sure what to expect in the taste profile but I found this to be a very refreshing tea.
I was intrigued by all the ingredients in this tea. The citrus brings a nice brightness that complements the strawberry. I'll definitely be getting another tin while it's still available.
i brought this as soon as I saw it advertised its excellent .I then purchased two more.
What an intriguing ingredient list! This is so delicious! I don’t notice anything fizzy about it, except that when I taste it, it makes me want to celebrate its goodness :) I made it hot and at first sip, my eyes grew wide and I actually said the word ‘yumm’ out loud to no one in particular! I taste a soft lemon and strawberry flavor; quite summery and fruity in the nicest way. Ginger is there as a sidekick to keep the sweetness grounded and add a delightful bit of spice, which balances the cup nicely. I didn’t notice cucumber, licorice, or spearmint. I added honey, so perhaps that’s why. I’ll be back for more! Please make this a permanent addition rather than a limited edition ;) YUMMM!
Makes a semi-decent iced tea, didn't enjoy it hot. Hot it tasted a little like hot red koolaid. I think it was the combo of hibiscus (which I generally love), cucumber, and lemon.
The Grantham Farewell tastes amazing! The aroma is sweet and spicy! Licorice is one of my favorites and the hint in this delicious treat is just enough to make you want more. Certainly sip worthy!
I thought this had a strange mix of flavors. I was disappointed.
Not crazy about this tea. I received this as a free sample in my last order. Really glad I didn't pay for it. There is too much spiciness in it. The description states it bursts with lively lemon, refreshing cucumber and spirited ginger. The only thing I can taste is spice which I am guessing is ginger (I have had ginger before, this doesn't even taste like ginger) . I cannot taste lemon or any other flavor. Will not be buying this tea.
Just received this new flavor…good flavor and very satisfying blend.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect with this tea, but it has a delightful flavor and somehow does have a bit of fizz! Some lemon overtones come through, and it is very refreshing and smooth to sip.
Tasty
I just received a sample of this tea with my latest order, (arrived today), and I read the ingredients in this tea and made a cup. I am impressed with the blend of flavors in this tea. It is light, and flavorful in a way I can't describe. Very interesting, and very tasty :)
