We like rose petal (sometimes called Congou) tea for ice tea but it is often hard to find. I was delighted to see Republic of tea offering it! Hands down, it is the best we’ve tried. It has to be steeped the full 5 minutes or it is too floral. I don’t put sweetener in mine but my SO puts in a little, about half of what he typically puts in regular ice tea. One note of caution, the rose buds seem to gather at the top of the canister. Make sure they are well blended or you won’t have a good balance later on!

We first tried the Rose Petal tea during a Victorian Tea party. We used a French press so everyone at the tables could enjoy watching the tea come to life as the petals and buds swirled around the glass carafe. It was a hit at the party. The flavor is just what you hope it would be, a wonderful rose flavor with a wonderful aroma. The Mountain Home Museum is hosting a Christmas Victorian Tea party and I had to make sure we ordered more, otherwise people would be disappointed. It is a wonderful tea.

This tea is wonderful! My first impression was how very pretty it was... maybe not a reason to buy the tea, but definitely a perk. The floral taste is light, not overpowering at all, and pairs beautifully with the black tea. I bought a small canister to begin with. I turned around and purchased the large bag as soon as I tried it, because I knew the small canister would not last me long at all. Delightful!
