2022 First Flush Darjeeling Black Full-Leaf Loose Tea
Lovers of the leaf, rejoice! The dormancy period is over and the Darjeeling hillsides are radiant with young, fragrant leaves. Rich in flavor, these leaves steep a delicate cup, sure to delight the senses.
We are excited to bring you this year’s first spring Darjeeling leaves from Castleton Estate Tea Garden in the southern Kurseong Valley
in the state of West Bengal, India. This prestigious garden is located along the valley’s hillside at an altitude of 5,000 feet.
We have air freighted this hand- plucked Darjeeling to ensure the freshest cup possible. Regarded as the ultimate tea experience, only limited quantities are available.
Our Ministers have scoured the world for the finest tea leaves and herbs in existence. The Republic of Tea masterfully blends these ingredients to offer great-tasting infusions.

This first flush Darjeeling tea has less than half the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee. More about caffeine.
Fill your kettle with fresh, filtered water and heat to just short of boiling (175° F). Warm your teapot by swirling steamy water in it and then pour it out. Place one teaspoon of tea leaves per 6 oz of water into your pot or infusing basket. Pour the heated water over the tea leaves and infuse for 2-3 minutes. Serve the tea. Avoid letting the leaves stew. Enjoy sip by sip. Add the used tea leaves to your garden. They make a healthy fertilizer for plants.
