Additional Details

On average, Matcha contains less than half the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee. More about caffeine.

Fill the kettle with fresh, filtered water and heat to just short of boiling. Fill matcha bowl or cup with warm water and pour out. Add ½ to 1 teaspoon of matcha powder to bowl or cup. Add 6 oz of steaming water (175°F). Experiment to find your favored strength. Using a tea whisk or a hand frother blend for one to two minutes until the matcha forms a nice top foam. For iced tea, blend ½ to 1 teaspoon to 8 oz of cold water and pour into a glass of ice.

I love Republic of Tea a lot, but this is a miss for me. It is the worst Matcha I have ever purchased. Maybe I'm just too used to ceremonial-grade Matcha.

I’m just beginning to dabble in making matcha at home cuz I can’t pay $5-$6 a day for Starbucks. So with a little bit of research I went to world market for matcha and this was the only one that didn’t have a review, idk why so I bought it. Went home and made it with 2% steamed milk and a little bit of sugar and I’m HOOKED. It’s light, easy to stir and was really affordable compared to others I’ve looked up. So I’ll probably be repurchasing again!

Not Bitter

Within the last year, I have started drinking matcha tea and really love the delicate sweetness it leaves on the palate. I started with the U-Matcha Charcoal and really liked it. After I tried that, I went to Amazon online to find an organic green tea matcha from Japan thinking it would be just as good. I bought two different kinds. I was disappointed in them both, so I came back to ROT and tried the Matcha Powder Green Mini Tin (.30 oz) to see if it was as good as the Matcha Charcoal and I loved it! The thing that sets these green Matcha teas apart from the others I have tried is that they are not bitter. Even if I may have used more than a teaspoon per the recommended amount of water, it still does not get bitter like the others I've tried. I will be buying my Matcha teas only from ROT from now on!

Not only does it taste great but it makes me feel great as well. I have some gastrointestinal issues that didn't just get better but simply went away after I started drinking this tea. I didn't realize it at first, but after thinking about it I figured out that I started getting better shortly after I started drinking this tea. Amazing...and yummy.
