This tea is great! I always loved the way Sencha tea smells, and was always disappointed when I got tea bag versions at Japanese restaurants. This version is fresh and lovely. The smell is very vegetable, almost like sweet spinach. The color is a wonderful green and the taste is very refreshing with a aftertaste of guava, unripe Mango or some other tropical fruit. Also too since the tea is basically shredded a little bit goes a long way. One of my favorites from here

I've been trying cold brews of a number of different teas. This is one that is definitely better cold brewed than hot. Bright green flavor with a hint of strawberries. I was initially put off by the amount of sediment produced, but then learned that this is desired with sencha.

I'm surprised that there are so few reviews. This is by far some of the best green tea I have ever tasted. I find myself getting distracted sniffing the tin when I pass through the kitchen. Very sweet and flavorful, and OMG the smell! Do yourself a favor and buy this tea, you can thank me later!

I fell in love with Sencha tea after having it at a sushi bar. The taste of Republic of Tea's sencha is wonderful, earthy and flavorful. I wish they would make it in a tea bag.

Sencha Kyoto tastes intriguingly deep green and, for my needs, gives exactly the right amount of brisk yet mellow caffeine. After savoring many other green teas, I've decided that this is my favorite one.
