Rooibos, a unique South African herb, has been cherished since the early 1900s when native Bushmen fermented and sun-dried its needle-like leaves for delicious red tea. Modern methods yield green rooibos tea, unoxidized and gently steamed from fresh harvests. Its smooth, delicate flavor reveals a hint of malt and fresh herbal notes. Low in tannins, it steeps a delightful cup — hot or iced.

Heat fresh, filtered water to boiling. Place one tea bag in your cup and pour in 6 oz of the heated water. Steep for 5-7 minutes. Remove the tea bag and enjoy. For iced tea, double the amount of tea bags used, steep as above and pour over a generous amount of ice.

If I don't rush to pull the bag out with white, green, or black tea they can become bitter from the tannins but with this tea it never gets bitter. It's always this mellow and grassy flavor that I adore.
