This shopper rated the product 3 out of 5 stars Wish I had read the reviews of this before I purchased it. While I was really excited to get it, & it is “adequate,” it’s also disappointing. Like others, since the press doesn’t go all the way down, you loose some tea. I’ve been opening the top & moving the press, it that defeats the whole point. Also, I put sugar, & sometimes milk, depending on tea type, in my tea, & since you have to wait until the tea is brewed, again, I might as well just take out the bags or leaves manually before drinking. It’s a great idea - just needs some better design. Color is cheerful & the mug doesn’t taste “plasticy” which I thought it might; however, seems to cool off rapidly. Tea stayed hot about an hour…

Press leaves too much room at bottom and screen is too fine for liquid to pass, so an inch of beverage is left inaccessible. Also, plunger rod is screwed in and can unscrew as plunger is lifted (some twisting necessary). Learn from a coffee French press; no need to try to reinvent that.
This shopper rated the product 2 out of 5 stars I got this as a gift and was so excited. However, the sieve does not block loose leaf tea leaves from getting into the top sipping portion of the cup. I have to filter out the tea which negates the point of this cup. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!
