Black tea has less than half the amount of caffeine per cup than in a similar-sized cup of coffee. More about caffeine.
Each bloom makes 3-5 infusions.
1. Place one tea bloom into the tea mug.
2. Pour 8-10 oz of short of boiling, filtered water over the tea bloom. Place lid over the infuser.
3. Steep for 3 minutes until the leaves have completely bloomed. Give the tea a gentle stir before enjoying.

This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars What a surprise this flowering tea is! Having never tasted this before I knew it was a bit of a risk as I was purchasing two--one for my friend's birthday and one for myself. But oh what a sweet surprise it was to drink! I followed the directions on the package and it was fascinating to watch the flower bloom open in the near-boiling water. I added a bit of sugar and it was delicious! Hoping the company will stock and sell the dried flower buds as a separate item. If so it will be a sure buy for me. :)
This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars This is a tasty tea. The bloom is not as dramatic as I would have hoped for, but it does bloom. It is a nice black tea. I did brew one bloom the max suggested five times and it still had color and a depth of flavor (my favorite brew was acutely 3 & 4, the lily seemed to really revile itself). I am a little disappointed that you cannot get the blooms by themselves. Once you finish the five you cannot get refills. I do like the mug that lets you enjoy your teas color (I love to brew the Q.C. Amethyst Berry in this mug, for this reason). I also appreciate the included infuser and that the lid acts as a tea tipper for the infuser. I will say since the mug is not double walled it is hot to handle and the handle itself is smooth with no grip or dip for leverage, so it does pull down. Overall, the mug is a good concept but is a little wanting in its execution.
